THE MERCERSBURG ACADEMY
Life
In 1918, the student editors of the Mercersburg Karux yearbook dedicated that year’s edition to founding headmaster Dr. William Mann Irvine, describing his philosophy for the school as follows: “Lofty ideals, great faith, noble integrity, and a ceaseless devotion to a mighty task—these are among the things which account for the meaning of Mercersburg.” Today, Mercersburg remains true to these core values that tie us to our past while compelling us to look toward our future. We are a community rooted in tradition and heritage, yet always driven by an eagerness for what’s around the corner.
ftiy Mercersburg Academy abides by both the spirit and the letter of the law in all its employment and admission policies. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, or national or ethnic origin.
