NEWS RELEASE Mercury’s wonderful energy recognised with supreme marketing award 15 September 2017 – Mercury took out three prestigious awards, including the overall Supreme Award, at the 2017 TVNZ New Zealand Marketing Awards last night. The Supreme Award recognised Mercury, along with marketing partners FCB, TRA, Dick & Jane and Catch, for the strongest marketing leadership in New Zealand over the last year. Mercury’s ‘Energy Made Wonderful’ campaign was the winner of the Best Marketing Communications Strategy and also took out the Consumer Products and Services Category. “We’re absolutely delighted that the judges chose Mercury for the Supreme Award. The success of our wonderful brand is the result of listening to and learning from our customers and reflects a huge team effort across Mercury,” said Julia Jack, Chief Marketing Officer. TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards Judge Emma Matthews commended Mercury on the Supreme Award win in an interview with host Te Radar on StopPress. “What Mercury did was really integrate and engage with their customers and non-customers looking at sustainable energy and bringing it in a fun way to us,” said Matthews. Mercury also congratulates Chair Joan Withers who was inducted into the Marketing Hall of Fame in recognition for her outstanding contribution to New Zealand business.
