Life has a way of throwing curve balls just when you least expect it. Have you ever known someone who had an unexpected accident or illness leaving them unable to make decisions for themselves? What if it were you? Who would you want in charge of your decisions?
Who should attend?
Start the conversation at Mercy’s Advance Care Planning workshop. Having an advance directive in place is a gift to your loved ones and ensures everyone is aware of your health care wishes; family members, loved ones and your health care team.
What should I expect?
Anyone age 18+ are encouraged to attend. You are encouraged to bring your spouse, a family member or any person you choose to make health care decisions for you in the event you become unable to do so.
Mercy’s team of certified advance care planning facilitators will lead you through the conversation. You will be given information in how to make your wishes known and develop an advance directive. A private appointment will be arranged for you to complete the process, free of charge. RSVP by calling Mercy HealthLine 888.39.MERCY
