2021: Shine, Shine

When we chose Shine, Shine as our annual theme, we had no idea how dark the world would be. It served as a constant reminder in 2021 to not let the darkness overwhelm.

In order to shine, one must reflect light. While the darkness of the world grows, so does the opportunity for us to shine. The spring and fall product collections not only put food on the tables of Kenyans and refugee makers empowered by Mercy House Global—they also served as reminders to share the light.

“You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine!” Matt. 5:14-15 (MSG)
