What do Universities in Kenya offer? Ask any parent around you about the major desire they have for their children and the first thing they will say is for their children to study through to one of the many universities in Kenya or abroad for those who can afford. Every young person also has the desire to study and get to a university of their choice someday. It is not by chance that both parents and young people have the same ambition. Going through university has a tag of prestige attached to it no wonder it is the desire of everyone to go through university. Parents who were not lucky enough to go to university wish that their children get a chance to be part of any of the universities in Kenya. Universities in Kenya have a lot to offer to students as well as potential students. They give an opportunity to people from all walks of life to at least get an education. Universities in Kenya are also concerned about people who are working and those that are far hence the introduction of online/distance learning or evening classes in most universities in Kenya.

3. Moi University

Kenyatta University operating under the motto ‘Elimu ni Nguvu’ translated as Education is Strength is one of the top universities in Kenya. It borrowed its name from Kenya’s first president, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta. The management believes that education is a source of strength and therefore, have branches in major towns of Kenya to literally give that strength to its students. 5. Egerton University

Located in Njoro – Nakuru, Egerton University is one of the universities in Kenya that borrowed its name from prominent people. It has undergone a series of name change from Egerton Farm School, to Egerton Agricultural College before it became Egerton University. It offers many academic

6. United States International University

USIU as it is locally referred is located off Thika Super Highway in Nairobi. It is one of the prestigious private universities in Kenya and prides itself as the university with the highest number of international students. It also offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Arts, Humanities, Sciences, Technology, Language and Culture, Engineering and Medicine. Universities in Kenya have over the years evolved into better and greater institutions meant to offer Kenyans with the best education.
