2012 Captain’s Cup Champs

Congratulations to NAS Meridian for capturing the 2012 Captain’s Cup! This is NAS’ second consecutive Captain’s Cup trophy win (2011 & 2012); a third consecutive win allows this specific trophy to be permanently retired to the NAS Command. Season Highlights

• NAS participated in all 10 Captain Cup Sports for the year.

• NAS (Public Works) contributed by grabbing 1st place in Regular Season Softball, Golf, and Bowling. Coaches included David Batchelor for Softball, Jake Bond for Bowling and CDR Lance Coe for Golf. • NAS (Field Support) contributed largely by holding on to 1st place in the End Of Season (EOS) Softball Tournament and 2nd place in the EOS Flag Football Tournament. Coaches included Chief Edward Harris for Flag Football and ABE2 Vonberen/ Ken Johnson (Ret) for Softball. • NAS (Air Ops) accumulated a significant amount of points by placing 2nd in the Regular Season and EOS Basketball. Coaches included AC1 Ronell Lewis and AC2 Adam Arwood.
