Mocal Oil Coolers AS LOW AS

Oil coolers are necessary on tuned and high performance engines. The oil thins as the temperature rises and its lubricating properties may be reduced. To keep the oil temperature at about 80°C it may be necessary to fit an oil cooler. The coolers are made in two widths 115mm and 230mm (core width). The coolers can be supplied with either BSP or JIC unions. The coolers are light weight aluminium and should be protected from vibration and carefully mounted. Sandwich Plate The sandwich plate SP1 channels oil from the filter head to the oil cooler and/or the remote filter head. The sandwich plate is mounted between the filter head and the filter and held in place with an extension bolt. Where space is limited a cover plate holds the sandwich plate in place and a remote oil filter is fitted into the system. This is particularly useful when fitting large engines into small chassis. The ports on the SP1 are 1/2" BSP and we can supply adaptors to suit most hose systems.

Mocal FBN Hose and Unions FBN hose is the ideal hose for self assembly applications; it does not require swaging or clips to secure the unions to the hose. It has a maximum pressure of 250psi and a maximum temperature with oil of 150°C. It must be used with the correct “fir tree” unions. Vacuum resistant for dry sump systems. Hose & Fittings HIGH PERFORMANCE HOSE & FITTINGS

600 SERIES BRAKE AND CLUTCH HOSE High speed, constant rapid gear changes and heavy braking put great strains on competition hydraulic systems, where failure can be disastrous. 600 series hose strongly resists expansion under high pressure and temperature, provides consistent brake and clutch pedal pressure giving firmer and more efficient operation without that spongy feeling. Offering protection against abrasion and fire, these hoses are also recommended for all pressure gauge lines and fire extinguisher systems. Use dash size 3 for most braking systems and dash size 3 or 4 for clutch systems. Dash 2 hose is the smallest brake hose available. Its microbore construction can give increased line pressure and more responsive and sensitive brake feel. Excellent for motorcycle and race car braking systems. Temperature range: -73°C to 232°C

Electronic Fan Controllers At last a truly professional solution by Revotec to the problem of controlling electric radiator fans on vehicles. Instant response, temperature control range of 70°C to 120°C and includes wired in relay and harness. Aluminium housing fits in a radiator hose with jubilee clips.

Tripac’s line of reverse skewed ring blade fan assemblies offer the most advanced engineering in air movement today. The patented ring blade fan maximises efficiency, reduces power consumption and lowers noise levels. These fans can be run either as blowers or suckers. The fan blades are turned round on the shaft and the polarity of the motor reversed. The directional arrow on the fan shows the correct fan rotation. Fixing kits are available; the normal plastic ties with spreader plates and angle brackets. The thermostat senses temperature from the radiator fins, there is no problem therefore with sealing a sender into the water system.

The amount of noise reduction cannot be estimated; all cars are different but we have seen reductions of up to 9dB but in some cases there is no effect. Performance air filters for road and race vehicles

Advanced air filter technology Why foam? Because, compared to paper or other filter technologies, reticulated polyurethane foam achieves optimum performance against three key criteria:

With the unique TriFoamTM System, which uses various thicknesses of finer or coarser foams, these factors can be varied for different applications.

What’s more, because they use the very latest adhesive technology to bond the foam layers, ITG filter assemblies are resistant to water, fumes, oils and fuels.

1. Maximum Air Flow – the ability to allow air to pass through without causing a large drop in pressure.

TriFoamTM gives the flexibility to produce air filters to exact customer specifications. ITG can tailor the dust filtering capability to well below 5 microns for roller barrel throttles, superchargers and cabin filters.

It is these qualities that have kept ITG at the forefront of advanced air filter technology and helped motorsport teams win countless world championships.

2. Cleaning Efficiency – the ability of the filter to remove dust and contaminents from the airflow. 3. Dust Load-up Tolerance – the capability to absorb a large amount of dust before cleaning or replacement is required.

Compared to other filter media, ITG foam filters offer many additional advantages, including a significant reduction in weight while providing more power for much longer.

Coarse outer layer Stops large pieces of dirt and foreign matter from penetrating further. Straightens air flow into subsequent layers. Medium grade middle layer Serious filtration layer traps most of the harmful dirt that leads to engine failure and damage. Fine inner layer Extracts all the fine particle but still allows full air flow to the engine for maximum power.

The rivnut tool will set 3 sizes of aluminium metric rivnuts. The rivnut fits in a similar way to blind rivets but have a thread in the centre and provide a fast and secure alternative to captive nuts. Rivnuts will fit panels up to 0.80" thick. They do not need tapping and are ready to use immediately after they have been fitted. Spare mandrels are still available for older tools.
