Do you have a child with a passion or love of horses? Give them an experience that will not only teach them important life lessons but also create lasting memories. Summer camp at Pleasant Ridge Farm will take your child on an adventure as they grow and learn about horses and the sport of horse back riding.

No previous experience required! Campers will learn about everything horse related from experienced equestrians and upper level Pony Club members. Each child will be taught all aspects of horse care from grooming and barn management to tacking up, safety, basic equitation, veterinary care and more! Students will improve their equitation skills with morning group riding lessons. Horsemanship activities include feeding, stall cleaning and daily animal care. Daily learning activities include horse related games such as breed scavenger hunts, tack knowledge relay races, "vet" day where students are given various scenarios to address, horse anatomy contests, bareback riding, and craft projects.

All campers receive a PRF summer camp "book" outlining all the things they learned during the week.

The last day of camp, students will perform in a camp horse show. Parents, friends and family are all welcome to attend. Real printed ribbons and awards will be given.

Pleasant Ridge Farm camps are safe, fun and educational. In addition to what campers will learn from our equestrians and Pony Club members, they will also learn a great deal from the horses. Horses teach kids responsibility, selflessness and respect while building confidence and learning about leadership, empathy and forgiveness. Summer camp is also a great time to put down the screens and get outside in the fresh air while engaging with other campers who also share the same passion for horses.

A Note on PC: Pony Club is the largest equestrian educational organization in the world. The cornerstones of our foundation are education, safety, sportsmanship, stewardship and FUN.
