BUSSINESS AND PASSION The 21st edition of AERO Friedrichshafen, Europe‘s largest and most important trade show for general aviation, will take place in April 2013. More than 600 international exhibitors from 30 countries will come to Lake Constance to present their latest products and innovations in an extensive exhibition space measuring 80,000 m2. With more than 200 aircraft on display, AERO will be showcasing the entire spectrum of the latest gliders, ultralights, planes, helicopters, gyrocopters, turboprops and business jets. Visitors to the show can experience the fascinating world of aviation up close. Engines, propellers, avionics equipment, pilot supplies and accessories as well as maintenance and numerous other services are also covered in the scope of AERO 2013. Dedicated to promoting ecological sustainability and progress in aviation, e-flight expo will be offered for the fifth time in 2013. The special exhibition will feature alternative propulsion concepts, airplanes and future-oriented projects under the title “Electrical, Ecological, Evolutionary”. With over 100 conferences, lectures and workshops AERO is more than just a trade exhibition. The AERO Conferences, which take place on all the four exhibition days, have made a name for themselves as the GA industry‘s largest information platform. High-caliber speakers and experts will present the latest trends and developments and discuss current topics in aviation.

AERO 2013 SPECIALS ENGINE AREA – powered by fliegermagazin Once again, the ENGINE AREA at AERO 2013, will be devoted to engines and propulsion systems and the latest technologies and developments in this sector. Whether it be piston engine, electric motor or turbine engine, the special exhibition gives its visitors an overview of the products available on the market. The ENGINE AREA has been extended to include Maintenance and Engine Management as well as alternative and sustainable fuel solutions. AVIONICS AVENUE It‘s all about avionics equipment in the new special exhibition area in Hall 6. The AVIONICS AVENUE deals extensively with flight control and management systems, communications systems, navigation devices, weather radar, and air and ground radar systems. Visitors to the show can test the latest equipment and applications in the dedicated avionics test area. AEROCareer – with support of aerokurier The general aviation job fair is the platform for pupils, students and professionals looking for information on job, training and career opportunities in the aviation sector. Companies and universities present themselves and the job options available and meet and talk with visitors. Various free workshops, traditional and online job boards support all those wishing to enter or develop their careers. Observe by Air Airborne research also plays an important role in general aviation. General aviation aircraft are equipped with sensors and measuring devices and civil UAVs, most commonly known as drones, are used for environmental research and earth observation. The "Observe by air" special exhibition presents civil applications and various projects in the field of unmanned and manned airborne research.
