Dear Exhibitors,

Dr. Reinhard Pfeiffer Managing Director

In the coming year, Bavaria’s largest trade fair for travel and leisure is being held under the name f.re.e for the fifth time. The fair’s revised concept has been very well received among exhibitors and visitors alike. By participating in f.re.e 2013, you are helping us to ensure that it continues to be considered one of the most successful consumer trade fairs in southern Germany. Together with you, we want once again to present a diverse and comprehensive range of travel offers and leisure-time activities to generate even more interest in the most beautiful time of the year. Besides your exhibits, that includes activity areas and a diverse program of related events including several show stages. You will reach more than 120,000 visitors who come from the German region with the most purchasing power. As they plan their holidays and recreational activities, you can provide optimum support with your ideas.

f.re.e is more than the largest trade fair for travel and leisure in Bavaria. It is an experience to remember for the entire family. It is broken down into six main categories that allow visitors to find the right products and services for their personal leisure-time activities. Vacationing in the mountains, traveling overseas or camping trips on the one hand, and a variety of recreational activities such as biking, water sports and climbing on the other. The extensive range of exhibits leaves nothing to be desired. Personal advice and the opportunity to test products directly at the fair are what make f.re.e what it is: an experience to remember. Together with you—our exhibitors—we will give visitors a multifaceted and exciting trade fair again in 2013. Barbara Müller Exhibition Director f.re.e

f.re.e 2013 is a win. Especially for you. Bavaria’s largest trade fair for travel and recreation is expected to attract large numbers of visitors again in 2013—even before they book their trips or become active outdoors. After all, f.re.e 2013 allows visitors to gather detailed information about trends, services and products and immediately test them at the fair. Take advantage of this opportunity to personally advise your target group about your offers and sell them your products. f.re.e is the perfect place to boost customer loyalty. Various theme worlds attract visitors to the fair: They include Travel, the main theme, as well as Health & Wellness, Water Sports, Caravanning & Mobile Recreation, Sport & Outdoor and Bicycles. Approximately 1,200 exhibitors from over 50 countries around the world generated a great deal of interest among enthusiastic visitors on some 70,000 m2 of exhibition space in 2012. The extensive program of related events gives you plenty of ways to showcase yourself as an exhibitor. Prominent guests are highlights that clearly have a positive effect on attendance. Interest among the media is high, so widespread nationwide coverage of f.re.e 2013 is guaranteed. Aren’t those promising prospects? What better reason is there to book your exhibition stand for f.re.e 2013 and continue canvassing for customers with success.

Being well on your way

is worthwhile. Caravanning & Mobile Recreation

In Germany, travelling by road is still one of the most popular ways to go on vacation. While families with children might opt for an affordable camping trip, older travelers are more likely to prefer caravanning for a higher level of comfort that they can personalize themselves. But both target groups have one thing in common: the desire for individual freedom—something that a hotel just cannot offer. Make product presentations at f.re.e 2013 to advise potential customers about your motorhomes, caravans or camping equipment and bring your products and services to vacationers who love the outdoors. Incidentally, the last f.re.e demonstrated how popular the fair is among exhibitors in the caravanning sector: A total of 38 brands were represented at the 2012 fair.

“Compared to previous years, we have had many more customers at our stand. Combining this event with “Münchner Autotage” has had very positive results for us. We acquired newcomers, and demand for our rental models has increased considerably.” Wohnwagen Gérard Klaus Ostenrieder, Sales Director

Actively do something for

your business. In keeping with the saying “Break your routine—Enjoy nature,” more and more people are hiking and climbing. They are just as interested in the latest products as they are technical innovations. Thus our tip: Use personal discussions to get your target group excited about what you sell, and then offer to sell them your products at f.re.e 2013. Large numbers of visitors are definitely expected—if for no other reason than because a boulder competition for recreational climbers and the Bavarian Boulder Championship are part of the 5th CLIMB FREE contest again—as always in conjunction with the German Alpine Club. All of that means plenty of attention for your products which, as an exhibitor, you can promote free of charge on our outdoor stage.

“Thanks to its diverse range of exhibits, f.re.e attracts active, recreation-oriented people of all ages. For us, that makes f.re.e the perfect place to call attention to our mountainoriented offers.” German alpine Club, Munich and highland Section Catherine Wirth Pr, assistant to the executive Board

“Customer traffic was strong on all five days of the fair, and there was plenty of interest in our products. We returned to this year’s f.re.e after a long break, and we are very pleased with the results.”

Sport & Outdoor

Germany is a cycling nation: Everyday millions of people have fun riding their bikes, which they do for their wellbeing. Environmental considerations also play an increasingly important role. Should I buy an e-bike? What is the situation with recycled clothing? And what environmentally friendly bicycle tours are available? To get an overview of the latest trends, many bike enthusiasts seek personal advice from exhibitors at f.re.e. Which is why you should put your faith in the largest fair for leisure and travel in Bavaria! After all, the fair offers you several ways to promote your products and services—i. e. in direct discussions with customers at your stand and using the test course for bicycles of all kinds. You can also take advantage of the “City, Country, Bike” area at the fair to promote your bike-tour offers and sell your bicycle vacations. And don’t forget: You can also make free presentations on the bicycle stage. In short: nothing stands in the way of strong interest among visitors and increased incentives to buy.

Participating in the fair takes more than just stand space. Online catalog and mobile catalog: Present yourself to your target group before the fair even begins.
