Air Cargo China

Transfer of momentum Forums and conferences provide exciting

Air Cargo China The fact that transport logistic China has grown was also noticeable at the integrated Air Cargo China. The conference occupied 30% more exhibition space, giving 70 exhibitors room to present the latest solutions for the air-freight industry. Participants used the platform to expand their industry-related knowledge and exchange information on the latest industry topics. Another highlight was the presentation of the Air Cargo Week World Air Cargo Awards. A list of the winners is available at: www.AirCargoWeek.com/awards

Air Cargo China Conference “We met all the target groups we were looking for, as airlines, logistics service providers, shippers as well as media representatives. The amount of visitors was good and we expect to have generated new business and adding more people to our relevant network.” Berend-Jan Rietveld, Manager Marketing & Communications, Amsterdam Airport Schipol, The Netherlands

The title of the ACC Conference that accompanied the fair was “Two-way traffic—Air cargo’s big balancing act.” A panel of international experts discussed inconsistent demand for air-freight services to and from China and other portions of Eastern Asia. Moderated by Bernd Maresch, Managing Director of Hans Mars, speakers included: John Batten, Swissport Global Cargo Marco Bloemen, Seabury Huseyin Ceyhan, Turkish Airlines Enno D. Supporting program

prospects

Supporting program Besides the exhibition in the halls, transport logistic China was rounded out by an extensive, three-day supporting program that included forums, conferences, panel discussions and workshops. Many of the events revolved around the Chinese market. One important aspect was the potential that China has to offer investors from home and abroad. The supporting program received some very positive ratings: 92% of all visitors gave it a ranking of good to excellent. That response can certainly be traced to the excellent reputations of the speakers, including prominent representatives of international companies and organizations.

“The exhibition is a perfect platform for us to stay in contact with our customers from Mainland China, Hongkong and Singapore. We had as well good negotiations with several companies and hopefully this will create new business in the upcoming months and years. Vasily Borychev, Business Development Manager, Interlines & GSA’s Coordinator, AirBridgeCargo Airlines, Russia
