Alchemy are The Alternative Lifestyle, Anno 1977. All of Alchemy’s products are researched, conceived and designed in England by the Alchemy Studios, and all pewter products are made in England in the Alchemy workshops by our own highly-skilled hand-craftsmen. All products and designs are the exclusive copyright of Alchemy Carta, England, and are registered designs and trademarks world-wide. The metal used in the manufacture of all Alchemy’s pewter products is the highest grade, 92% tin alloy, (to BS5140 standard), known as “English Pewter”. Some manufacturers misleadingly use the term ‘pewter’ to describe alloys containing lead. This results in inferior, more easily made products which are heavier, softer and of a darker colour and are much more prone to tarnishing and disfigurement.
All products, space permitting, are marked with one or more of the following identification marks, or their derivatives:

Imitations & Forgeries: Alchemy Studios conceive, research, design and develop all their ideas and products themselves, at considerable cost, to bring you fresh, new creations. Any attempt at forgery, imitation or passing-off endangers Alchemy’s existence, and therefore will result in investigation leading to prosecution. Any assistance from our customers against piracy will be greatly appreciated. Looking after your Alchemy: Pewter, like silver, may tarnish, but can easily be polished up to a brilliant lustrous shine, using a brass or silver polishing wad and a wipe with a dry cloth. DO NOT put pewter into a salt-loaded dishwasher, which could corrode a polished surface. Alchemy Guarantee: Alchemy will gladly replace any product proven to be defective.

However, where fixed sizes are indicated, these are divided into three approximate categories: SMALL: approx. 6”-7½” (153-191mm) dia. MED: approx. 7”- 9” (178-229mm) dia. LARGE: approx. 7½”-9½” (191-242mm) dia. When supplemented with 'Adj.', a bangle has some degree of adjustment, usually achieved by gently squeezing open or closed to fit. CAUTION: Repeated over-bending of bangles will cause metal to fracture.

Alchemy’s unique tankards are hand made in a heavier 0.26 gauge pewter, in our traditional workshops in Sheffield, England.
