HE GENEROSITY AND DEDICATION OF OUR COMMUNITY makes southwest Iowa a wonderful place to live, thrive and grow. The generosity and true philanthropic spirit has created amazing ripples of impact and hope during a difficult time in our region and country. For the past 14 years, the Pottawattamie County Community Foundation has been your partner in community-based philanthropy throughout southwest Iowa...helping to forge a path toward positive impact. Here are a few points to know as we celebrate our 14th year! Record Year for PCCF Impact Grants In our largest grant funding cycle to date, our Community Impact Grants committee elected to award 40 Community Impact Grants totaling $60,040 to area nonprofit or city organizations throughout Pottawattamie County. These grants support projects and services across Pottawattamie County and represent over $8 million of project costs reported by our nonprofit partners. Inaugural Impact for Women Summit The Inaugural Impact for Women submit was held in October and featured keynote speaker Elizabeth Smart. Over 250 in-person and virtual attendees participated to learn more about the important issues facing women and their families in southwest Iowa. The Women's Fund of Southwest Iowa, an initiative of Pottawattamie County Community Foundation, also awarded $57,250 in funding to six organizations during its latest, and largest, grant cycle. Donor Impact So far in 2021, our donors have generously recommended nearly $1.8 million in grants that are supporting nonprofit organizations across our region, state, nation, and the world.

TRichard P. Wenninghoff Scholarships In its inaugural granting year through the Southwest Iowa Educational Foundation (SWIEF), the Richard P. Wenninghoff Fund awarded seven Treynor High School and seven Underwood High School seniors scholarships valued up to $14,000 each. Giving Tuesday In honor of Giving Tuesday, PCCF is offering a 20% match again this year throughout the month of November for all donations made to endowment funds. This is our fourth year of celebrating philanthropy and amplifying impact with an increase to our normal 10% match program.

Florence M. and Charles E. Lakin Center for Community

Giving We are excited to finally move into the newly renovated and expanded Florence M. and Charles E. Lakin Center for Community Giving. Visit this new space at our grand opening in 2022!
