"e J#rney So Far… Launching as Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra (MCO) in April 2009 and rebranding to The Metropolitan Orchestra (TMO) early 2012, T MO quickly became recognised for delivering first-‐class, in)mate concert experiences to audiences across the Sydney Metropolitan area. Comprising some of Sydney's most dynamic musicians, T MO have staged more than 50 acclaimed concerts as part of their highly regarded annual concert season under the considered direc)on of Ar)s)c Director and Chief Conductor Sarah-‐Grace Williams. Messa%s… Sarah-Grace Williams, Artistic Director & Chief Conductor It is with great pleasure I welcome you to our fihh year of concert giving. With another year behind us, I reflect on the extraordinary journey we have already travelled. T MO has become a firm fixture in the Sydney music scene and I am proud to be involved with such outstanding musicians and management. Commi^ed to bringing premium musical experiences to local audiences, I am pleased to announce we will be presen)ng our Met Series at three different venues in 2013, with the Eugene Goosens Hall, A BC a new addi)on. By adding this third venue, we con)nue to make it easier for a wider audience to reach us and enjoy wonderful music. I am certain that 2013 will be another amazing year and I look forward to welcoming you to our first concert in February.

Bevan Rigato, General Manager Now in our fihh year of performance, The Metropolitan Orchestra con)nues to go from strength to strength as a na)onally recognised orchestra of dis)nc)on, flexibility and superb quality. 2013 offers a wonderful musical programme which highlights the versa)lity and immense capability of our orchestra. T MO is also evolving commercially through the development of new and powerful partnerships with personal, government and business supporters who share our vision of delivering premium musical experiences to a wider and more diverse audience of music lovers. We encourage you to join us in 2013 and share the infec)ous T MO passion as we enhance Sydney’s musical landscape for the benefit of all.

Guy Noble, Patron An orchestra is such an odd animal. Players that are individuals with great musical personality, coming together to work in literal harmony, adjus)ng to each other, listening to each other, some)mes suppressing their own egos to work together to deliver wonderful performances as a team. It's the sort of thing our federal poli)cians should come and watch -‐ they may learn a thing or two! Welcome to another season of the T MO. Now in their fihh season of performance, T MO have grown from a young foal, standing blinking in the musical field, to a young and racehorse now making their mark. The orchestra delivers high quality music to Sydney audiences always with abundant energy and enthusiasm. I hope you can come along to any number of their great concerts in 2013 and be part of the journey of this new thoroughbred!
