Metro’s online after school enrichment programs provide students with engaging learning opportunities to discover STEM (science, technology, engineering, math), enhance skill-building, and explore personal interests.
Code Explorers
Learn to code your first app, story or game using block coding! Explore the fundamentals of computers, computing science, game design and coding in Scratch. Problem solve through fun and discovery and share your cool creations with friends and family! In partnership with Discover Coding.
For all online classes, a computer with a camera is required and a computer mouse recommended. Information on additional requirements or supplies required can be found on our website.

STEM Programs Join the Math Jam! With a small group of just five students and your math instructor, you will elevate your math skills in this virtual class of calculation. Play virtual games and problem solve as you enhance your knowledge of number concepts and operations from the Alberta curriculum. In this class you’ll have the opportunity to research a topic that interests you, write about it and create a website to share it! Find your voice and leave your mark on the world! Whether you are six or sixty you could be the next YouTube star! In this class you will explore YouTube to find your niche, learn the do’s and don’t’s of the platform and enhance your on-camera presence. You will also create your own channel branding and develop professional editing skills. Take home a plan for launching your own YouTube channel and share your content with family and friends. Cancellations: Metro reserves the right to cancel any course. A full refund will be issued for all canceled courses.
Withdrawals/Transfers/Refunds: If you submit a withdrawal before the start of the second class of a course, all tuition will be refunded. The $25 program fee is non-refundable. Students may be transferred from one program to another at no transfer or program fee. Transfers must occur before the start of the second class. Program price differences will result in a refund or additional payment, as required. Refunds take up to four weeks for processing through Edmonton Public Schools Financial Services.
Prior to the Start of Class: An email confirming login information for your child’s program and a list of required supplies, where applicable, will be sent to you. Your child will require either a Gmail email address or their EPSB email address (ending in share.epsb.ca), if they have one, to access their program.
