How Canada Became Multicultural
Asian discrimination in Canada and the USA is a topic that hasn't yet been explored much by the mainstream media. In Canada, the Age of Discrimination lasted through the thirties, forties, and fifties. It began to disappear after WWII but it wasn't until the mid-sixties that Asians with money could immigrate to Canada. How things changed whether it was by coincidence, accident, or plan is an interesting story. Today, Canada is a multicultural country but it it used to be very racist. Hard to believe? I know but true. Were those responsible motivated by greed, love of their fellow man or maybe politics? It is hard to believe today, that anyone would be motivated by love for their fellow man but it is true. Vancouver today is all about money but there was a time when Vancouver was for the little guy and houses cost under $100,000.
