His band was the benchmark by which all other bands were measured back in the day. The Beefeater Band Book is another one of the great community bands that became the only showband for the BC Lions FC ('64-'84). The Handsworth Dynasty two-book set is an example of one of the finest high school bands in Canada during the Golden Age of High School Bands, the seventies through 2000.
