Welcome to Metro Healthcare Partners. For over twenty years, Metro Healthcare Partners has been an integral part of the South Brooklyn community offering quality healthcare across multiple disciplines. Focused initially on physical medicine, MHP has continued to grow and expand its department offerings, including neurology, orthopedics, radiology, and pain management. Comprehensive care in one location With a team-based approach, our medical staff can see each patient holistically and manage multiple treatment types and doctor visits. Our ability to provide cross-discipline referrals on site, means a patient can combine doctor appointments and treatments in one visit and in one location, helping to make rehabilitation that much easier. To better serve the local population, we speak multiple languages and accept an extensive list of insurance plans. Our Article 28 designation allows additional insurance options for managed Medicaid and commercial plans, too. Patient-focused during the Covid-19 pandemic We’ve taken great care to completely renovate our 8,000 sq foot facility. We added state-of-the-art equipment for our enlarged rehab/gym area, brought in new therapy technologies, and improved advanced diagnostic equipment. We also added a state-of-the-art HVAC system that meets strict NYS Department of Health guidelines for sanitation protocols, infection control, and handicap/ADA requirements. Our modern electronic medical record and billing system allows contactless onboarding, digital appointment creation, and co-payment processing. And, of course, we offer credit card payments for our patients. We’re here to make life a little bit easier for your practice and patients. ORTHOPEDICS The orthopedics department at MHP is committed to helping patients reduce pain, return to their previous level of activity or recover from an injury quickly and smoothly. Our treatment options range from non-invasive to minimally invasive and advanced surgery. Advanced modalities like viscosupplementation are used to speed recovery times and help manage pain.
PAIN MANAGEMENT Our award-winning team of pain management professionals collaborates to assess and treat patients. This allows them to identify the root cause of the trauma and address it while providing you with greater insights on dealing with your condition. Using advanced diagnostic tools and methodologies, like Clarius diagnostic ultrasound, epidural injections and shockwave therapy, we provide treatment to help the patient improve and manage pain effectively.

MRI & X-RAY Our diagnostic services, like MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and X-Ray, offer many benefits for guiding diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Our Open MRI, as the name suggests, is open on all sides, so the patient does not enter a tunnel. It helps patients avoid that claustrophobic feeling many encounter in typical MRI equipment. Our facility is accredited by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC).
PHYSICAL THERAPY Our physical therapists work with an experienced team of orthopedic specialists, pain management physicians, massage therapists, neurologists, and chiropractors to develop an individualized treatment plan that will target your specific injury. We use the latest technology, such as post surgical rehab and balance training with the Biodex Balance System and cold laser treatments for pain.

Priyesh Patel Radiologist Priyesh Patel, M.D., M.P.H., is a fellowshiptrained radiologist who received his Doctor of Medicine (M.D. from The Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois. He specializes in musculoskeletal and Spine MRI/CT/ ultrasound/radiograph, arthrograms, pain/steroid joint injections, and CT guided bone biopsy.

Shockwave Therapy in Brooklyn, NY Shock waves are audible high-energy sound waves. In modern pain therapy, low-energy shock waves are applied to the painful body regions where they can exert their curative action. Shock waves can accelerate the healing process in the body. They stimulate metabolism and improve blood circulation; allowing damaged tissue to regenerate and fully heal. How many treatments are necessary and how long does each treatment take? Each therapy session takes between 10 and 20 minutes depending on the disorder to be treated. In general, an average of 3 to 6 treatments are necessary at weekly intervals.
