“It is health that is real We have partnered once wealth not pieces of again with Castle Connolly to gold and silver” –Gandhi provide the annual Top Doctors® listings. Anyone who has faced health challenges knows, navigating to find the right medical professionals can be overwhelming. The physician listings included in this issue of Tampa Bay METRO are the only independent, third-party listings in the Tampa Bay area and a great place to begin your search.

In METRO People, we feature Jen Murphy who has finally achieved her dream of becoming a published author. After graduating from law school, Murphy believed could do both: be a lawyer and a writer. But life happened and she got married, accepted a position with a big firm, had two daughters, and before she knew it, twenty years had gone by. “My dream of being a writer sat unattended under a pile of dust and regret on a shelf in the dark recesses of my mind,” recalls Murphy. Now, with two books penned, she is working on her third book in the series. Pick up her first book, When She Runs, it won’t disappoint if you like a good mystery thriller and as a bonus it’s set in Tampa.

When in downtown Tampa, check out Driftlight on the lobby level of the JW Marriott. In Foodie, we feature the new steakhouse and had a sampling of many of the new menu items. The seafood is as fresh as possible using local sources. Just entering the hotel, it’s like you are on a staycation with a delicious and cooked-to-perfection meal.

In METROHome, we feature the stunning design of Rob Bowen Design Group for a St. Petersburg home in Snell Isle that Trevor Burgess and Gary Hess call home. The design and furnishings showcase the many works of art, and acts in many ways as a museum gallery. The waterfront home showcases the best of both art and nature.

Be sure check out the SCENE photos with many of the live events that finally happened after nearly a two year hiatus – the American Association’s Heart Ball, St. Joseph’s Heroes Ball and Moffitt Cancer Center’s Magnolia Ball.

Relax and stay cool the rest of the summer, and we will see you out and about this fall.

Cheers,

Stephen Parag II Publisher/ Editor-in-Chief
