New Head of School at Corbett Preparatory School

Corbett Prep welcomed Nicholas B. Rodriguez as its new Head of School in July. Rodriguez brings 19 years of experience in private school leadership, institutional advancement and International Baccalaureate education. “Nick Rodriguez is the absolute right leader to lead Corbett Prep into its next generation of success,” says Jeff Shannon, Board of Trustees President.

Most recently Rodriguez served as Head of School at Brandon Academy, after positions as Asst. Head of School at Carrollwood Day School and Admissions & Advancement Director at Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School.

A Tampa native, Rodriguez is a graduate of Tampa Prep and USF with a Master’s Degree in Education from Greenville University. A former college athlete, Rodriguez remains active in promoting health, wellness and athletics.

Rodriguez and his wife, Melanie, have two children.

Compass Land & Title, LLC Hosts Community Food Drive

Nationally, 22 million Americans don’t have enough to eat. Locally, Feeding Tampa Bay is trying to serve hundreds of thousands of hungry Tampa Bay residents a week. Thanks to the “giving back” spirit and kindness of their associates, Compass Land & Title, The Bank of Tampa, SEASALT Properties, and Oktane Media joined together to make a difference. Their Feeding Tampa Bay benefit “drive by/drop off” food drive held this Fall was a huge success! The physical drive brought in 1,747 pounds of food and a grand total of providing 9,884 meals to our community. Thanks to all the volunteers, Catering by the Family and for the wonderful sounds of Javier and his Flamenco music keeping our spirit alive.
