The “She-toilet” pilot project by Kerala State Women Development Corporation is going to bring thousands of ladies in the city in relief. When we talk about our country, state and city we do have a lot of assets to be boasted upon. Kerala, famous for becoming the first and only state in India with 100% literacy and yet with other accomplishments, is a role model to many others. And our city, the capital “Thiruvananthapuram” is house to the richest shrine in the world. With Kovalam – one of the oldest tourist paradises, now the city’s tourism map is getting expanded with new destinations and lakhs of foreigners as well as local tourists flow into our city every year.

nature’s call where we look around? No problem, as usual behind some trees, or near the roads, or at a wall in the byline? I remember my trip to Paris before a couple of years, when my friend wanted to urinate near the Eiffel Tower adjacent to the public road. It was getting dark and despite my request for several times, with so much tension of getting noticed by authorities, he had done it!

Can we imagine the situation of our mother, wife, sister or daughter in such an emergency situation? I know friends, who doesn’t drink water even in summer, afraid of

“We are already getting national attention about this project which will have a pioneering implementation at Thiruvananthapuram. We are receiving calls from other state authorities to know more about this project, and national media is covering this initiative. All cities in the state will have “She-toilets” soon, a priority project of KSWDC.”
