Spring Training Baseball West Palm Beach By Ira Kaufman I love going to Spring Training baseball games, and I am so lucky that there are two stadiums only a few minutes from my house. The Washington Nationals and Houston Astros share a stadium and the St Louis Cardinals and the Miami Marlins share another. I have attended three games so far - all at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter. The great thing about spring training is that you can sit a few feet from the field for 30 dollars a seat and see all the top players. Because the major leaguers usually leave by the sixth inning, it is the one event that I typically leave before the final out. Just some initial observations: The St Louis Cardinals look awesome. They now have two MVP candidates in the middle of their lineup in Goldschmidt and Arenado. The Washington Nationals are interesting - they have added a number of veteran players to a team that one the pre-pandemic World Series. The Astros received very little booing with respect to the cheating scandal of three years ago - Actually only a few players remain from Houston’s World Champion team (that was accused of banging on trash cans to tip pitches).
