Hey, Cat Ladies! Come volunteer with FORGOTTEN FELINES OF SONOMA COUNTY and make a real difference in the lives of unowned cats.

Not only will you be a superhero to our whiskered friends, but you’ll also meet fellow cat ladies who understand why you talk to your cats like they’re people.

Join the fun, make a difference, and fully embrace your inner cat lady—no judgment, just purrs.

Forgotten Felines has been around since 1990 and has altered over 50,000 cats—because we’re determined to make Sonoma County a place where the only “homeless” cats are the ones hiding in your laundry basket.

In 1985, the historic Santa Rosa Post Office building was reborn as the MUSEUM OF SONOMA COUNTY (MSC). Now, with two buildings providing galleries for art and history, a sculpture garden, and a collection of over 18,000 objects, MSC is a major cultural destination.

In 2023, the Museum unveiled Sonoma County Stories, a permanent exhibition that engages visitors with the past in a brand-new way: through the power of storytelling. MSC also hosts dynamic public programs including artist talks, school programs, festivals, lectures, and more. Join the Museum today and fi nd your inspiration in the art and history of Sonoma County.

The SONOMA COUNTY PHILHARMONIC is a community-based orchestra of 65 local musicians who volunteer their time and talents to perform together. Founded 25 years ago, we have presented hundreds of affordable concerts to audiences who might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience a live symphonic orchestra. Many of our musicians are retired from careers in music. Others are music teachers. And we often invite young musicians from area schools to join us.

The Philharmonic is a musical family of musicians and audience that is welcoming to all. We are committed to reaching underserved communities with our music. We have presented bilingual children’s concerts in collaboration with the Latino community, and we are sponsoring small chamber ensembles to perform at local area senior centers. We are dedicated to bringing the people who love to play orchestral music together with those who love to listen to it, enriching the cultural fabric of our county.

OUR

Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 48 is proud to announce the upcoming launch of the DAV Volunteer Transportation Network in Sonoma County. This critical program will provide free non-medical transportation for eligible ambulatory veterans to and from their VA-scheduled medical appointments in Santa Rosa. Many veterans in our community face significant barriers to getting to their medical appointments. We are counting on our community to help make this program successful by helping us to recruit volunteer drivers. The annual crab feed scheduled for the last Saturday in February for the next three years helps to fund the program. For more information, please visit DAV48Sonoma.org
