The Mountain of Fun Summer program offers art, yoga, sports and horse camps that promote creativity, cooperation and community building. San Benito Stage Company Theatre Camp incorporates singing, dancing, and acting skills into its programming to help campers develop confidence, curiosity, and imagination. Our camp is open to any child between the ages of 6 and 14 (8th
grade) years of age. Since this is a summer camp focused on building performing art skills, it is open to any and all skill levels. Campers will be placed into appropriate age group categories with no more than 8-10 in each age category. Camp each day will consist of a variety of performing arts opportunities for our campers. MOUNT MADONNA COUNTY PARK 7850 Pole Line Road, Watsonville Mt. Madonna County Park, one of the most majestic of Santa Clara County's regional park and recreation areas. This 4,605 acre park is dominated by the redwood forest so characteristic of the Santa Cruz Mountain range. To the east, the park overlooks the Santa Clara Valley, to the west, Monterey Bay. As the slopes of Mt. Madonna descend toward the valley, the landscape changes from redwood forest to oak woodland, dense chaparral and grassy meadows. Nestled in the hills of Gilroy, Coyote Lake Harvey Bear Ranch County Park is a 6,695-acre regional recreation area offering many outdoor activities including camping, boating, wildlife observation available to park goers as well as visitor center exhibits on local wildlife, including live reptiles, amphibians and fish that are native to the park. Rangers provide interpretive programs yearround. Between Memorial Day
weekend and the end of September, Rangers and Docents conduct campfire programs on Saturday evening. Finally, Ranger-lead programs take place monthly throughout the park. Three-mile long Coyote Lake provides opportunities for power boating, jet-skiing, water skiing, sailing, canoeing/kayaking and fishing. Family picnic sites are located at numerous locations along the west shoreline. BBQ picnic facilities are located south of the Anglers Cove picnic area. The Bear and Mendoza Ranch sections of the park have 35 miles of hiking, biking and equestrian trails that wind through oak studded canyons; and on top of grassy ridgelines, providing spectacular views of southern Santa Clara Valley. Trailheads can be found in all three sections of the park.
