Looking to volunteer your time to benefit the community, but don’t know where to begin? We’ve compiled a list of just a fraction of the numerous volunteer opportunities available in South Valley and San Benito County. Whether it’s helping children, seniors and animals in need, or providing awareness of issues that affect all of us, there are plenty of opportunities that should pique your interest and expertise.
CASA of San Benito County CASA trains and supports community volunteers who advocate for abused or neglected children placed in foster care; upholding the children’s rights while pursuing a safe and permanent home. casasanbenito.org
Centennial Recreation Senior Center Lunchtime servers are needed for the nutrition program team at the Centennial Recreation Senior Center in Morgan Hill. Volunteers serve daily from 10:30am-1pm. morgan-hill.ca.gov/1610/ Volunteer-Opportunities
CHEER Coastal Habitat Education Environmental Restoration, also known as CHEER, restores coastal ecosystems but does so in a way that safeguards resource-based local economies. cheercentral.org

Community Solutions Certified Volunteer Advocates for domestic violence/sexual assault/ human trafficking are trained to provide prevention, education and outreach presentations; provide peer support to survivors at Community Solutions’ confidential shelter; provide crisis-line support and provide in-person responses for survivors in crisis. Friends of the San Benito County Free Library The Friends of the San Benito County Free library is a non-profit organization made up of volunteers whose goal is to promote the welfare and growth of the San Benito County Free Library. sbcfriends.org
