Le mythe d’une forêt idyllique En quête des matières premières les plus raffinées, le parfumeur parcourt une forêt dense et brumeuse, au cœur d’une nature fantasmée. Enivrement des sens, bercement d’une brise fraîche aux vapeurs d’humus, d’écorce et de mystère. Cet alchimiste des parfums s’immisce dans les entrailles de la terre pour capturer sa symphonie de bois pénétrants. Tel Gilgamesh, figure légendaire mésopotamienne en quête du secret de l’immortalité, il explore le mystère de la tentation éternelle. Lorsque les esprits entendent sa quête, la brume se lève, délivrant les divines senteurs d’une Alma Matter bienveillante. Ce sont ces sortilèges olfactifs que cette bougie imprime dans la cire. Ses vibrations envoûtantes d’épices et de bois précieux se consument dans un objet d’art dont seule la Maison Lalique a le secret : un vase en cristal taillé à la main par ses propres Maîtres Verriers. Les sculptures offrent un enchevêtrement de feuilles, allégorie d’une forêt bienfaitrice en référence aux racines Art Nouveau du célèbre verrier.
The myth of an idyllic forest The perfumer travels through a dense, misty forest in search of the most refined ingredients, surrounded by fantasy-like nature. His senses are intoxicated and soothed by a refreshing breeze in which waft aromas of humus, bark and mystery. This perfume alchemist descends to the depths of the earth to capture its symphony of penetrating wood. In the image of Gilgamesh, the legendary Mesopotamian character, who searched for the secret to immortality, he explores the mystery of eternal temptation. When the spirits hear of his quest, the fog lifts to reveal the divine scents of a benevolent Alma Mater. These olfactory enchantments are imprinted within the wax of this candle. Its intoxicating vibrations of spices and precious wood radiate from a decorative object to which Lalique alone holds the secret: a crystal vase hand-carved by its very own master glassmakers. Its sculptures present an intricate pattern of intertwining leaves, an allegory of the benevolent forest that references the renowned glassmaker’s Art Nouveau roots.
Bois de légende Une lumière crue s’échappe du clou de girofle, une épice venue d’Indonésie aux accents camphrés montants. L’éblouissement s’apaise sous la fumée douce et sensuelle du bois de Gaïac aussi surnommé « bois de vie ». Ses volutes charment les esprits de Pan régnant sur les arbres alentour. Puis les accents pyrogénés cuirés du bouleau se font incantatoires, appelant une végétation dense et intrigante. Là s’enracine le tronc majestueux d’un cèdre millénaire, aux effluves secs et tranchés, tel un pieu planté dans un sol humide et sombre. La pénombre des sous-bois s’illustre par du patchouli, aux effets terreux, mais aussi liquoreux et camphrés. L’envoûtement opère, appuyé de la caresse hypnotique du santal indien aux volutes lactées enveloppantes, soulignées de muscs moelleux. Ce voyage initiatique au coeur de la matière est fidèle à l’esprit d’un voyage olfactif. Il convoque les forces telluriques dans un dédale d’émotions, autant d’énigmes rassurantes, rassénérantes et de promesses d’allégresse.
Legendary wood A stark, bright light radiates from clove, an Indonesian spice with camphorous accents that increase in intensity. This explosion is subdued by the soft, sensual smokiness of Gaiac wood, also known as the „wood of life.“ Its fragrance enchants the Pan spirits that rule over the surrounding trees. The leathery, smoky accents of birch intoxicate the senses, calling to mind dense, intriguing vegetation. The majestic trunk of age-old cedar then takes root with its dry and distinct notes, like a stake planted in moist, dark soil. The darkness of the undergrowth finds expression through patchouli with its simultaneously earthy, sweet and camphorous notes. Enchantment sets in, further intensified by the hypnotic caress of Indian sandalwood with enveloping milky aromas enhanced by mellow musks. This initiatory journey to the heart of the matter is true to the spirit of an olfactory journey. It summons terrestrial forces in a labyrinth of emotions, as well as reassuring and calming enigmas that hold promises of joy.
