Hello, hello, hello and welcome to the first issue of Fempreneurz. Fempreneurz hs been a dream of mine for a long time. After nearly twenty years of putting my dream on hold, making excuse ater excuse not to go for it, I decided it was time to quit making those excuses. After all, no matter how hard I tried, my dreams, my purpose, would not leave me in peace until I had either given it all I've got to accomplish it. The Fempreneurz vision was given to me because I can achieve it and so too have your visions been given to you. I f you can conceive it, if you believe in it and yourself. You can live your dreams. It's yours, go get it. The Fempreneurz vision is to sponsor women and community projects arounf the globe to break free from poverty. Through social enterprise and our strong values in personal, professional and business

development, our mission is to empower women to improve the quality of life for themselves, their family and their community. Everyone has the power to mould their life into whatever they choose. We want to show you, share with you, just how amazing you are and support you as you fulfil your greatest potential. TURN YOUR BIG, CRAZY IDEAS INTO REALITY Making the decision to change your life and go after your dreams is never quite as glamorous as it sounds. For most of us, starting your own business means stepping into the unknown. No more security of a regular wage. No more switching off once the office is closed and no more set roles. When selfemployed, you can no longer do your job 'with your eyes shut'. Â Aside from the things you need to do, there is also all that undue pressure you put on yourself to get it right and know it all from the outset.

A ridiculous notion, but we all do it. Then there's the icing on the cake. A whole host of 'well meaning' loved ones and negative ninnies telling you you are crazy! How are you ever going to do that? Blah, blah, blah! So, now we've taken a glimpse at the downside of making your dreams come true are you ready for the magic? Nothing will ever fill you with as much passion, hope, inspiration and motivation than knowing that you have opened up your life to endless opportunity.


There will never be a limit on how far you can go, or how much you can earn. Yes it's going to be hard, it is going to be scary. You are going to struggle getting to sleep and when you finally do fall asleep your dreams are going to repeat everything you tried to stop thinking about, but it will all be so worth it. That life you envisage for yourself and your family? It's yours. You've already seen it, breathed it, smelt it, touched it. Whatever your dream, no  matter how big, bright, bold or crazy it may seem, you are the magic to make it happen. To help keep you on track get help, get support, get a mentor. You cannot do everything on your own. We all need some level of support.

You don't have to spend thousands on coaching programs or to hire a mentor, these are, for the most part extremely valuable and should bring you high returns on your investment but for many of us just starting out, we simply can't afford it. Get on social media, not obsessively, check out some groups on facebook or Linkedin, there are so many and it will take a bit of time finding the right group. Set aside a time each day to connect with the group and you will have a great support system to keep you inspired and motivated as well as a great place to bounce ideas off. You've done your research, you've got your support system now you need to plan your journey. The business plan is a great tool used correctly. I'm not talking about the type of business plan everybody is producing to help them gain finance from the banks, very dull, very boring and frankly, naff. Create a business plan that inspires you. Be detailed about the steps you are going to take. Do the financials for you. How much do you want to earn and how can you do it? Break it down and then break it down again. The same for your goals. What do you want to achieve? How will you get there?

Producing a business plan can be highly motivating, you just need to see it as the plan for your dreams rather than a document you have to or should produce. If we want to be successful in life, whether that be our personal life, relationships, career, business or health we must begin by unlocking our minds and taking control of out thoughts.

Do you have the power to accept that others may alter them, instead of you altering them? Do you admit that you are who you are, no matter what other people think? Can you accept the many changes that come about in your life? If you replied yes to one or all of these questions then you are off to a good start on bettering your life. If you are willing to accept,

Once you learn to accept you'll be eager to smile. For example, if somebody makes you mad you'll see the humour in his or her actions. You might see the wit in your actions if you make an error and feed into their foolishness. Once you begin to discover the humour in life, you will feel better within. We are involved in a rambunctious world filled with greedy individuals, envious souls, lusty tigers, etc. We must learn how to work around these individuals, accept ourselves and march on. Once you learn to change to better you, others may follow. Good behaviour has proven far better than words to encourage other people to change.

The more you put matters off the more you drop behind. Additionally, procrastination makes an individual lazy, which isn't good for your health. To help you better your life, you need to quit lying to you and tell yourself that you are able to do it. If you take steps to do it now you'll see that your load gets lighter. Rediscovering the scholar within you: We set ourselves up for calamity. When we fail to see what we may achieve, we lie to us. We tell ourselves that it's too difficult. What is difficult about getting it done? The key to success is becoming captain over our own emotions. Emotions are mighty tools that either make us or break us. We learn effectively by taking charge of these emotions and distinguishing our inner joys and powers. Occasionally you'll discover areas about yourself that are distressing. Don’t let it fatigue you. Instead take action to remove this behaviour or way of thinking. When you learn, you are engaging in an energy-packed forward motion. You're involving self in experimentations that guide you to success. When you learn, you gain or build skills. You find you and what you want. You might run into a pothole some place down the road, but ultimately, you'll reach success. Lies are the path to nowhere. When you state, I know it all, you're stating I don't have the

Use a company stamp or sticker, for convenience,if you have them, otherwise you can print your business name. Handwrite envelopes and

address the recipient using their title 'Mrs Jane Doe' Choosing your clients christmas card. Only ever send GOOD quality cards. The quality of the card will reflect on you and your business. If the card looks cheap, then the message is you don't really care about your client or the quality of what you provide. Buy the best you can afford. If you are a crafter, artist or particularly talented then handmade could be an option, if not then don't go there. Not only are handmade cards time consuming, if they aren't of the highest quality most

recipients will just think your being cheap. Avoid humorous cards, what some may find hilarious others will most certainly find distasteful. Stick with simple, traditional themes and messages. Be aware of your clients religious beliefs. If you are unsure then it's always best to send a 'Season's Greetings' card as opposed to 'Merry Christmas'. THE PEPPERMINT MARTINI

Ingredients 2.5 oz. Vodka 1.5 oz. Peppermint Schnapps 1 oz. Orange Juice 1 oz. Strawberry Juice Ice Candy cane & Coconut shaving to Garnish

Directions Pour the Vodka, Peppermint Schnapps, Orange juice and Strawberry puree into a cocktail, over ice. Cover and shake. Strain into a coconut (can use sugar if preferred) rimmed Martini glass and serve with candy cane on top.


Merry Cocktails

Ingredients Chocolate Sauce 2 oz. White Vodka 2 oz. Bailey's Irish Cream 1/2 oz. Peppermint Schnapps 1/2 oz. Half & Half ( Milk&Cream)

The Christmas Cookie

Directions Drizzle chocolate sauce on a chilled martini glass. Add White Vodka, Bailey's Irish Cream, Peppermint Schnapps and half & half. Garnish with candy cane sprinkles and a mini gingerbread man

Red Mulled Wine

Ingredients 1 Bottle Red Wine 60g/2oz. Demerara sugar 1 Cinnamon stick Grated nutmeg 1 Orange, halved 1 Dried bay leaf Sloe or Damson Gin (if using)

Directions Put the wine in a saucepan with the orange, sugar, bayleaf and the spices. Heat gently until the sugar dissolves. Taste to see if you want the wine sweeter, and add more sugar to taste. Off heat, stir in the sloe or damson gin, if you are using it. strain into heatproof glasses and serve at once


Festive Favourites

Ingredients 2 Bottles (cheap-ish) White Wine, medium-dry 500ml Bottle light cider 150ml Elderflower cordial Zest 2 lemons (pared into strips using a vegetable peeler) 2 Cinnamon sticks 1 tsp Vanilla 4-5 tbsp caster sugar

White Mulled Wine

Directions Put all the ingredients into a pan and heat until steaming but not boiling. Ladle into mugs or glasses to serve, while you keep the rest warm on low heat. Strain into heatproof glasses and serve.


Festive Favourites

Ingredients 700ml Whole Milk 240ml Double cream 3 Cinnamon sticks 1 tsp Vanilla extract 1tsp Grated nutmeg 5 Eggs (separated) 130g Granulated sugar 175ml Dark rum or Bourbon

Egg Nog

Directions Combine milk, cream, cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg in a saucepan. Gently bring to a boil. Remove the pan from heat and leave to steep. In a large bowl or mixer, beat egg yolks and sugar until combined and thick ribbons form when the whisk is lifted. Slowly whisk in the milk and continue to mix until the mixture is combined and smooth. Add Rum or Bourbon and stir. Refrigerate over night or for up to 3 days. Before serving, beat the egg whites in a large bowl or mixer until soft peaks form. Gently fold into the Egg Nog until combined. Serve and garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.
