What happens?
June to July 2016
In order to sit the Kent Grammar School test in September 2016 you must register your daughter’s details between Wednesday 1st June and Friday 1st July 2016.
July 12th and 14th 2016
Our summer Open Mornings will take place on Tuesday 12th and Thursday 14th July from 9am until 11am. There will be a short presentation given by the Headteacher. There is no need to book just come along and student guides will be waiting to show you and your daughter around the school.
July 25th, 26th and 27th July 2016
Our Summer School Experience this year will take place over three days for girls and boys in Years 4 and 5. Your daughter may have been to one of these days last year and we hope that she enjoyed her time at the school. If your daughter is in Year 4 or 5 and you would like to apply for a place at Summer school for her this year, then apply via the school website at http:// www.mggs.org/online-bookings.

Your daughter will sit the Kent Grammar School test on Thursday 8th September 2016.
October 11th 2016
Our Open Evening this year is Tuesday 11th October 2016 from 6pm – 9pm. With presentations from the Headteacher in the school hall at 6.15pm, 7.00pm and 7.45pm. There is no need to book just come along and student guides will be waiting to show you and your daughter around the school. There is a lot to see and do so we hope you arrive early to give yourself plenty of time explore the whole school.

If you registered online The Kent Grammar School test results will be emailed to you after 4pm on Thursday 13th October 2016. If you registered by post the results will be posted to you first class on the 14th October.
October 17th, 18th and 19th 2016
Our autumn Open Mornings this year are to be held on Monday and Tuesday the 17th and 18th October 2016 from 9am to 11am. and our Open Afternoon will be held on Wednesday 19th October from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. There is no need to book just come along at any time and student guides will be waiting to show you and your daughter around the school.

Up to four schools can be selected in order of preference and online application forms should be completed and submitted to KCC by Monday 31st October 2016. Alternatively complete and hand in Kent’s Secondary Common Application Form (SCAF) to your daughter’s primary school.
March 1st 2017
National Offer Day. Offers of school places will be made on Wednesday 1st March 2017. E-mail messages will be sent after 4pm to those parents who applied online, and letters will be posted first class to arrive on Thursday 2nd March 2017. You must have accepted the offer of a place at the school by Thursday March 16th 2017

If you would like to appeal for a place at any school that you named on the SCAF but were not offered, you should do so by Wednesday 29th March 2017.

Parents and carers of students who have accepted their place at Maidstone Grammar School for Girls are invited to attend the Year 7 Information Evening. Students will be visited in their Primary school by Mrs Farnham the Head of Study for Year 7 or by a member of the Senior Leadership Team Year 7 Welcome Day. Students spend the day at Maidstone Grammar School for Girls and meet other girls who will be joining the school in September. First Day of Term for students joining Year 7
