Awards and Recipients Faculty and Student Recognition for Outstanding Leadership Daniel J. Yong This award is given to a student graduating from the accelerated baccalaureate nursing program who has been identified by peers and faculty as demonstrating outstanding class leadership. Faculty Recognition for Academic/Clinical Excellence Eleni Moutsatsos This award is given to a student graduating from the Accelerated Baccalaureate Nursing program (ABSN) with an outstanding grade point average and the strongest faculty recommendations attesting to overall academic and clinical achievement. Wetherill Award Emily Elizabeth Guerriero Established at the McLean Hospital School of Nursing in 1936 and subsequently transferred to the MGH School of Nursing, the award was established with a gift from E. Stanley Abbott in memory of Marion Wetherill Abbott and her mother. The award is presented to a member of the graduating class who has been the most actuated throughout their course by their spirit of thoughtfulness for others or who have developed that spirit most while in the school. Quinn Award Erndie Erase Established by Dr. Lisa Quinn in 2020, this award is given to one or more Black students in good academic standing and entering the final semester of the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program. Miriam “Mim” Huggard Scholarship Belinda Joy Nabukalu In honor of her work and dedication to both the Massachusetts General Hospital and the MGH Nurses’ Alumnae Association, this scholarship is given in memory of Miriam “Mim” Huggard. The student, who was given the scholarship at the start of their final semester in the MGH Institute School of Nursing Accelerated Baccalaureate Nursing program (ABSN), demonstrated exemplary clinical skills during the first three semesters of the program and embodied the core values that made Mim an exceptional nurse, leader and mentor.
