Vogle This award honors a student graduating from the Genetic Counseling Program who has been identified by peers as demonstrating outstanding leadership in the following ways: 1. Fosters a collaborative environment both in and outside of the classroom, 2. Demonstrates supportive, responsive relationships with peers, 3. Leads, promotes, and engages in activities that improve the student experience. Student Excellence in Service Award Joselyn Saenz Díaz & Gabriella G. Raffaele This award honors a student graduating from the Genetic Counseling Program who has been identified by peers as demonstrating an outstanding commitment to service in the following ways: 1. Either active participation in IHP and/or outside service initiatives or piloting a new initiative that benefits the Program and the IHP, 2. Makes significant contributions in their service work, 3. Positively represents the genetic counseling profession and the IHP through their interactions with peers and community service organizations.

Outstanding Faculty Award Gayun Chan-Smutko, MS, CGC This award honors a distinguished instructor who demonstrates excellence in teaching and supporting the education, growth, and development of GC students. They excel at presenting material in a highly effective manner, fostering an atmosphere of individual inquiry and team learning, welcoming discussion, creating an inclusive classroom environment, encouraging and implementing feedback, and inspiring students to apply and further their knowledge beyond the course. Outstanding Supervisor Award Dillon Davis, MMSc, CGC This award honors a distinguished fieldwork supervisor who demonstrates excellence in supporting the education, growth, and development of GC students. They excel at creating a welcoming and inclusive environment conducive to learning, goal-setting, and augmenting skills, engaging in effective communication, demonstrating interprofessional teamwork, and fostering critical thinking. Outstanding Capstone Committee Member Award Stephanie Hicks, MS, CGC This award honors a distinguished Capstone Committee member who demonstrates excellence in supporting the education, growth and development of GC students. They excel at creating an environment conducive to the advancement of learning and inquiry in research, engaging in effective communication, providing concrete guidance, and fostering inclusive research practices and critical thinking.
