MEDICARE GAS PIPELINE SERVICES MATERIAL (PIPE) Solid drawn, seamless, deoxidized, non arsenical, half hard, tempered & Degreased materials confirming to HTM 2022 Standards. Pipe sizes to be used as under: 28mm OD x 1.2 mm thick 22mm OD x 0.9 mm thick 15mm OD x 0.9 mm thick 12mm OD x 0.7 mm thick Fittings used for connecting copper tubing shall be made of Copper and brazed type Connection as per BS: 864: Part 2:1983. All pipe-jointing fittings are made of Copper as per BS 864 Standards and suitable for a steam of working pressure of 17 bars and especially made for brazed socket type connections. Shut off valves suitable for the pipe diameter are of non lubricated 90 degree turn lever & having stainless steel hard chrome brass body with PTFE seat and S.S. ball. Sizes will be appropriate for copper pipes with screw threaded ends and brass adapter .All valves shall be pneumatically tested for twice the working pressure and degreased for medical gas service before supply. INSTALLATION: Installation of piping shall be carried out with utmost cleanliness. Only pipes, fittings and valves which have been degreased. Pipe fixing clamps shall be non-ferrous or non-deteriorating plastic suitable for the diameter of the pipe. TEST: After erection, all the pipes cleaned or purged with gas, and complete new system will be tested at 1 1/2 times of working pressure for 24 hours. PAINTING: All existing and proposed exposed pipes will be painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint & color codification as per IS-2379 of 1963.

MEDICARE GAS PIPELINE SERVICES DIGITAL CONTROL PANEL FOR OXYGEN / NITROUS 

The Oxygen Control Panel shall be of microprocessor based Digital Display Type. Pressure reduction shall be in two stages. Panel shall be integrated with pressure gauges inside panel on downstream of pressure regulator. Panel shall be fitted with standby line regulator. Line regulators shall have pressure relief mechanism for testing and servicing purpose.



Panel shall be Fully Automatic and shall switch over from “Bank in Use” to „Reserve Bank‟ without fluctuation in delivery line pressure and without the need of external electrical power. After the switch–over, the “Reserve Bank” shall become the “Bank in Use” and the “Bank in Use” shall become the “Reserve Bank”. The Control Panel will be powered by a microprocessor. The unit shall be compact and enclosed in NEMA 1 enclosure.



A Microprocessor circuit board assembly shall provide a relay output to give indication when or just before the manifold switches from one bank of cylinders to another. The switch over shall be mechanically controlled, not electrically.



To avoid excess pressure being supplied to the distribution system, a pneumatically relief valve for the line regulator shall be incorporated. An intermediate pressure relief valve shall be installed between the highpressure regulators and the line delivery regulators.



The control panel incorporates six coloured LED‟s, three for the Left Bank and three for the Right Bank: Green for Bank in use, Amber for Bank ready and Red for Bank empty. Both the Left and Right bank pressures and the main line pressure should be displayed on the front door of the cabinet by means of LED's. All pressure transducers, micro switches, and display LED‟s shall be pre-wired to an internal microprocessor circuit board.



All components inside the Control Panel like Pressure Regulators, piping and control switching equipment shall be cleaned for Oxygen Service and installed inside the cabinet to minimize tampering with the regulators or switch settings



The Control Panel should be made to provide Heavy Duty with a Flow Capacity of over _____(as per requirement of the hospital) LPM..



Panel shall be compatible for interfacing with the Information Management System.(optional)

MEDICARE GAS PIPELINE SERVICES FULLY / SEMI AUTOMATIC CONTROL PANEL OXYGEN / NITROUS OXIDE SYSTEM



Control Panel have two first stage regulators, each capable of delivering 120 psig outlet pressure. The First stage regulator connected to the second stage regulator which will deliver an outlet pressure of 60 psi. The First two regulators meant for first stage will be capable of switchover system incorporated from “Running” to “Reserve” bank due to differential pressure. The Control Panel provide for two individual content contact pressure gauges to indicate the cylinder pressure in the two wings of the manifold and common pressure gauges to indicate the delivery/line pressure. Control panel have audio alarm for bank changeover. The control panel has built in signal lamp indications for changeover. Control panel covered with suitable cover indicating the respective services.

MEDICARE GAS PIPELINE SERVICES MANIFOLD SYSTEM (OXYGEN / NITROUS OXIDE). 

Manifold shall consist of two high-pressure header bar assemblies to facilitate connection of primary and secondary cylinder supplies. Each header bar shall be provided with ------ numbers( as per hospital requirement) of cylinder pigtail connections to suit cylinder valves as per IS 3224 incorporating a check valve at the header connection. Manifold should be suitable to withstand a pressure of 150 Kg/cm2, along with high pressure copper annealed tail pipes with end Brass adapter suitable for Cylinders and manifold. The high-pressure header bar shall be designed in such a manner that it can be extended to facilitate additional cylinder connections. Each header bar assembly shall be provided with a high-pressure shut-off valve. Top frame comprising of high pressure copper pipes of size 1/2” I.D. x 15swg with high pressure brass fittings made of high tensile brass and connections through non- return valves ; high pressure copper tail pipes, made of high pressure copper pipe of size 1/4” I.D. x 15 swg.



The manifold should be so designed that it shall suit easy cylinder changing and positioning.



The middle and bottom frame to be provided to fit both round and flat bottom cylinders safely.

EMERGENCY OXYGEN SYSTEM / NITROUS OXIDE SYSTEM. 

It will have emergency arrangement of one set of two-cylinder configuration with Copper tail pipes, Non Return Valves & high flow regulator with pressure gauges for Cylinder & line pressure and safety valve. Pressure regulator shall be detachable from the manifold.

MEDICARE GAS PIPELINE SERVICES ANAESTHETIC GAS SCAVENGING SYSTEM Introduction Anaesthetic Gas Scavenging System is used to remove anaestheic gases directly from patient connection from Anaesthesia Machine by mixer, AGSS outlet pipeline & AGSS Exhauster to provide clean and free Anaesthesia Gases environment in operation theaters.

AGSS is designed to meet the requirement of HTM2022 C11 and EN737 and types of Anaesthetic Gas Scavenging Systems is determined based on the circulation and requirement of HTM 2022 and EN 737 requirements.

Reliable Pressure sensor. Free Retardant enclosure. The alarms should have pressure sensors with an in-built On-Off switch. The system can be kept off as and when necessary. The audio alarms will become active in case of any abnormality in the pressure and can be acknowledged by pressing the MUTE button provided in the system.

The audio alarm will restart automatically in case the pressure does not come back to the normal range within 30 minutes, thus reminding the user that the fault is still unattended.

The feather touch buttons ensure ease of use of the system. A battery pack can be opted for uninterrupted power supply to the system and can give 2 hours back-up supply.
