Danger Identification 

Used to identify the perimeter of a hazard.

The stripes are BLACK and YELLOW or can be ORANGE.


Fire fighting 

Identifies fire alarms, extinguishers etc.

RED square background with WHITE writing or diagram.


Mandatory ď Ž

Gives orders e.g. eye protection must be worn.

BLUE circular sign with WHITE writing or diagram.


Prohibition 

Prevention e.g. no smoking

WHITE circular background with RED border and cross bar.


Safe condition 

Indicates safety points e.g. first aid, fire exit etc.

GREEN square background with WHITE writing or diagram


Warning 

Identifies dangers e.g. danger of electric shock.

YELLOW triangle with BLACK border and BLACK writing or diagram.
