Original Rockets The Chinese created fireworks when they found black powder whilst searching for ‘the elixir of life.’ It also lead to the creation of bombs, cannons and fire arrows. The first recorded use of fireworks were for war purposes in 1232 against the Mongol Hordes at Kia Feng Fu. The rockets became known to Europeans when the Mongols Genghis Khan and Ögedei Khan invaded parts of Russia, Eastern and Central Europe. NASA claims that Rockets appear in Arab Literature in 1258 AD.
