Metal and Plastic joints metal Arc Welding- joins steel by using electricity to produce heat. This melts the steel and the electrode fills the gap, making a strong permanent joint.
Soldering- Solder flows inbetween the metals, copper, brass or tin plate, making a neat, strong joint.
Pop Rivet Joints- are quick to put together and easy to do. They can be drille~ and assembled from ones ide of the work.
Spot Welding- produces a strong joint in steel or aluminium.
Epoxy Resin- glue is used to join different materials together.
Nuts and Bolts- can be taken apart and out back together.
plastic Joining plastics can be tricky. Epoxy resin can be used but for best results an acrylic cement is used. It is watery and should be applied with a dropper. It seeps into and bonds neat clean joints. Work in a well-ventilated area.

plywood smooth surface, no grain, flat and stable.
layers of thin wood, wont warp or split.
smooth surface, wont warp and is supplied in large sheets.
moteriols; metol&plostic metal; ferrous mild steel- easily welded and formed, needs surface protection, inexpensive. uses are, car bodies, screws etc. stainless steel- good rust resistance, silver in colour, shapes and forms well. uses are sinks, cutlery etc. tool steel- very hard wearing, can be ground sharp. uses are files chisels, saws etc.
COPPER
STAINLESS STEEL
BRONZE
CORTENmEL
metal; non ferrous aluminium- light weight, easily shaped and formed, low melting point, malleable. uses are cooking foil, window frames etc. copper- good conductor of heat and electricity, easily bent and shaped, malleable and ductile. uses are electric wire, water pipes etc. brass- decorative golden colour, casts easily. uses are door handles and knockers, screws etc,
plastic thermosetting platies- are heat resistant, hard wearing, easily cleaned and can be coloured. they are ideal for pot handl'es, light switches and plastic laminate kitchen worktops. thermoplastics- most of the plastics used in schools are termoplastics. They go soft when heated and can be bent or formed inTo shapes. You will probably make a model with a clear or coloured acrylic sheet. This is a thermoplastic. Everyday products made from thermoplastics include telephones, tooth brushes.

This is cool because its symetrical but it couldnt be put on a wall, it would need to be on the floor.
this looks n\~e.and simple, but looks a bit to plain.
this is a really good design but would be to complicated to make.
i like this because only some of the boxes has back panels, but the poles up the side makes it look cheap.
i like this because it looks nice on a wall but looks confusing to make.
this is nice because it looks simple but not to plain.
