Please Welcome Dawna to the Child Care Choices Team.

I am a lifelong resident of Garrett County. A mother of three amazing adult children, grandmother of a 3 year old girl and bonus grandmother to my 7 year old adopted niece. I love spending time outdoors: biking, hiking, kayaking, cross country skiing, swimming, camping, etc. I also love to craft and work with wood, although I’m not very handy with power tools!

I’ve had a side hustle for the past 6 years called Countryside Canvas. I host and teach painting parties on canvas and handcrafted wooden signs. COVID changed all that and I now do small parties for friends and family. I love to teach and create, so this has been the perfect match of those passions.

I have a BS in Business Administration and an MAT in Secondary Education. I have 15 years of experience in Early Childhood. I’m thrilled to be working with Child Care Choices as the new GOFCC Program Supervisor.

Please Welcome Sade to the Child Care Choices Team.

Hi There! My name is Sade Spriggs and I am now a PERKS Consultant with Child Care Choices. I am a Child Development Specialist with a passion for providing behavioral and family services. I graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Studies. Shortly after graduating, I obtained my Positive Discipline certification through the Positive Discipline Association.

My personal time usually includes reading, trying new recipes, and shopping. My love for sight-seeing allows me to travel and visit many museums. If I had to share a professional mission, it would be to support and empower children and families to reach their fullest potential to yield a better tomorrow for them and the world at large. I am excited to carry out that same mission here at Child Care Choices. Please Welcome Nomi to the Child Care Choices Team.

I am very happy to join the Child Care Choices team as a PERKS Consultant. I have a BS in Multiple Disciplinary Studies in Education and Human Services from West Virginia University. I have experience working in mental health and early childhood education and even though I have worked with many populations, children are my passion. I am excited to bring the knowledge I have and learn more from Child Care Choices to help children, families, and childcare educators. I also enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, reading, arts and crafts, and cooking.

Please Welcome Latoya to the Child Care Choices Team.

Hello! I am incredibly pleased to be the new Family Resource Specialist. I have eighteen years of experience working in a variety of diverse educational settings. I am thrilled at the opportunity to provide educational support to families navigating the childcare referral system.

Please Welcome Gabrielle to the Child Care Choices Team.

I am so happy to be apart of the early childhood specialist team as a PERKS consultant with Child Care Choices in the Frederick area. I have my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Towson University and hope to go to grad school in the next year. I worked as a preschool teacher for about 4 years, as well as an RBT for kids aged 2-5 with autism in a preschool setting. I am grateful to use these experiences to help me work with early childcare educators and children, as well as learn even more along the way. In my spare time I enjoy working out, crafting, and playing with my hedgehog Chickpea.
