Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. installs touchpath manufacturing execution system to increase production capacity

Houston, Texas-headquartered forklift manufacturer Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. (‘MCFA’) has implemented international supply chain solutions provider TouchPath’s ‘TouchMES’ manufacturing execution system, integrating it with the company’s ERP system to increase production capacity and support expansion, it was announced today. From its 860,000 sq. ft., 850 employee Houston-based plant MCFA manufactures and distributes Mitsubishi forklift trucks, Cat® lift trucks and Jungheinrich® warehouse products, via a network of 450 dealers across North, Central, South America and the Caribbean.

Konecranes Demag UK partners with WES

Lifting equipment manufacturer and service provider, Konecranes Demag UK Limited, has reaffirmed its commitment to providing equal employment opportunities by entering into partnership with the WES. 3M High Flow Filter System range extended for lower process flow applications

3M, the science-based technology company, has added a 10” filter cartridge and housing (referred to collectively as a filter system) to its High Flow Filter System range, extending its capability to lower process flow applications, including modular water treatment systems and filling lines.

The new High Flow 10” Filter Cartridge from 3M uses the same proprietary high efficiency polypropylene microfibre filter media as the existing 40” and 60” length versions. The compound radial pleat structure and large diameter core offers the same significant advantages: high flow rates per filter cartridge in a compact design, allowing fast and easy filter change-outs.

“We have added an adjustable differential setting capability to the Perseus range of Exd flameproof switches and Exia intrinsically safe switches. It allows fine tuning of compressor cycling in air conditioning and HVAC applications for example and has other uses where hysteresis control is required,” says Stephen Burns, Managing Director Pyropress Limited. “The same module allows two switches with separate settings. There is also the option of a second M20 electrical entry. The Perseus range has been available with only black anodised aluminium for 10 years so introducing the stainless steel housing completes the entire offering.

The design features a simple form of adjustment. The switch is factory set and shipped at a mid-range falling and adjusted upon receipt. The set point can even be safely adjusted whilst the switch is electrically connected and in the hazardous area.
