Be immersed in the world of superyachting

The Monaco Yacht Show has announced new developments in its themed exhibition areas, once again proving its will to immerse visitors in the world of superyachting.

THE MONACO YACHT SHOW TAKES ITS “SEDUCATION” APPROACH INTO 2022

The 2022 edition is set to confirm the status of the MYS’s “seducation” programme, which was launched last year. This threeyear plan of action is designed to attract a new generation of yachting clients, thanks to two core concepts: “education” and “seduction” (aka “seducation”).

Education: meeting trade experts in themed exhibition areas

The show’s themed exhibition areas have been redistributed more efficiently, making it easier for the new wave of yachting customers to meet experts in their respective fields and to discover the range of products and services required to successfully complete their yachting project.

The organisers are therefore revamping the Dockside Area, the Sailing Yacht Area and the Yacht Design & Innovation Hub, all three of which were launched in 2021.

Be it in the water or on the docks, the Dockside Area features superyachts, tenders and all manner of services directly related to the world of yachting. Visitors can meet the shipbrokers, shipyards and designers who worked on the various yachts on display.

The Sailing Yacht Area will be relocated to Quai l’Hirondelle, on the inner side of Port Hercule.

The Yacht Design & Innovation Hub - dedicated to future yacht design projects - is set to triple in size, including a 100-m² upstairs conference area.

These areas will complement the show’s other themed exhibitions:

• Parvis Piscine: yacht interior design and decoration companies, • Upper Deck Lounge (at Parvis Piscine): luxury products and services,

• Quai Antoine Ier: yacht tenders, water toys, luxury cars and motorbikes,

• Darse Sud tent: equipment manufacturers and yachting services,

• Quai Albert Ier tent: yacht-related equipment, maintenance and service companies.

The MYS has also announced the 6th edition of the Monaco Yacht Summit. Held on Tuesday 27 September 2022 at the Monaco Yacht Club, the event will address practical questions on the topics of yacht chartering, buying and building in front of an prequalified audience of experienced or new yacht owners and charterers.

Seduction: an initiation to the superyachting way of life

The Monaco Yacht Show aims to offer more comprehensive first dip into the world of superyachting. The Sapphire Experience offers concierge services - i.e. directly organising yacht visits hand-in-hand with exhibitors - and a range of other VIP activities and services throughout the show.

The first day of the show (Wednesday 28 September) will be on invitation-only. Private clients - holding “Discover” passes or “Sapphire Experience” passes (the show’s official visit programme) - and their parties (“Advise” passes) will be granted privileged access to the Dockside Area while the other areas will remain open to all passes. From Thursday 29 September, the Dockside Area will be open to the public.

General Manager of the MYS Gaëlle Tallarida had this to say:

“The Monaco Yacht Show made its grand return to the international event scene in 2021, sporting a 3-year development programme with a clearly-stated goal: to promote superyachting among a new generation of clients”.

NEW EXHIBITION AREA

DEDICATED TO SUSTAINABLE YACHTING SOLUTIONS

The 2022 Monaco Yacht Show will mark the unveiling of the Sustainability Hub: this new exhibition area will welcome companies that specialise in technology aimed at reducing superyachts’ environmental footprint.

The Sustainability Hub is an incubator for companies that provide innovative or tried-and-true eco-friendly solutions, as well as for budding start-ups working on sustainable alternatives that fit in seamlessly with the yachting world. The exhibition will be located on 200m² in Darse Sud, the tent dedicated to nautical equipment and technology.

The Monaco Yacht Show announces its collaboration with the Water Revolution Foundation in order to select companies that are eligible for the Sustainability Hub.

The Sustainability Hub was created as part of the Monaco Yacht Show’s eco-friendly approach, which was initiated in 2005. The show thereby serves as a tool to raise awareness on environmental issues within the Monegasque and international yachting community.

Gaëlle Tallarida, Managing Director of the MYS: “When the MYS joined the Carbon Neutral programme in 2005, we were already hell-bent on raising environmental awareness. The MYS later joined the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation in 2010 to support their eco-friendly projects. Might I remind you that the yachting industry had barely started taking on a “green attitude” at the time. Our pioneering approach to sustainability in organising the show, which began 18 years ago, now extends to a new dedicated exhibition at the MYS.

The MYS constitutes one of the industry’s major voices; a share of social responsibility that we fully assume today. Therefore, the Sustainability Hub was an obvious and logical next step for the Monaco Yacht Show. This brand new area dedicated to eco-friendly yachting alternatives is part of our sustainability programme, which is set to be extended to the logistics and layout of the entire show, here in the port of Monaco. We intend to provide support to all those involved – exhibitors, service providers and visitors alike – whilst exploring concrete solutions to environmental problems.”

Robert Van Tol, Executive Director of the Water Revolution Foundation: “The creation of the Sustainability Hub is a crucial achievement. The Monaco Yacht Show has once again consolidated its leading position in the field, whilst highlighting the Water Revolution Foundation’s expertise in terms of sustainability. Thus, the show’s new exhibition area is designed to showcase forms of technology that will bring concrete improvements to the world of yachting. We are making every effort to find, verify, promote and reward sustainable solutions, whilst encouraging their use and bringing about much needed change.”

The Adventure Area is the Monaco Yacht Show’s new themed exhibition dedicated to adventure, exploration and all manner of leisure activities on board a yacht.

NEW ADVENTURE AREA AT THIS YEARS EVENT

From 28 September to 1 October, the MYS new Adventure Area is set to boast a vast range of day-trip and sports tenders, luxury and off-road vehicles, water toys, hightech gadgets, helicopters and tailor-made programmes to explore the planet’s most remote destinations. The exhibition will span across two sites at Monaco’s Port Hercule: Quai Antoine Ier, which previously featured the Car Deck and Tenders & Toys exhibitions, is now home to the Adventure Area that combines the two themes in a single location, boasting a myriad of luxury vehicles, tenders and water toys for visitors to discover; secondly, as in previous editions, around twenty tenders will be moored at Quai Jarlan.

This extended exhibition for all adventure and leisure activities reflects the MYS’ continued ambition to bring visitors the finest yachting experience. Today, charter clients want to drive all-terrain vehicles to the North Pole, go on underwater excursions, take tender rides off the coast of secluded islands, enjoy tailor-made tours of historical and cultural sites in coastal destinations, discover animal species – while respecting their ecosystems – and even take part in scientific field trips.

LOCATIONS:

Quai Antoine Ier, Quai Jarlan, Port Hercule, Monaco

Free access with a valid MYS pass Opening hours: 10 a.m. - 6.30 p.m. (6 p.m. on Saturday)

By announcing three new themed exhibitions for 2022 – the Sustainability Hub, the Yacht Design & Innovation Hub (new format) and the Adventure Area – the Monaco Yacht Show has proven that it is on course towards its goal: helping the industry redefine the yachting experience (an expression that has become all-too common) and appeal to a new superyacht charter clientele. This new generation challenges current yachting standards: it is revolutionising the concept of luxury with its epicurean vision and desire to freely discover new experiences – one that prevails over the need to own.

LYNX YACHTS UNVEILS INTERIORS OF CROSSOVER

27 YACHT AVONTUUR

The Dutch shipyard, Lynx Yachts, has revealed the first interior images of its flagship Crossover 27 superyacht Avontuur, ahead of her hotly-anticipated debut at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival.

Weel, interiors by the French designer Franck Darnet and naval architecture by the Alkmaar-based studio Diana Yacht Design.

Measuring 27.3 metres and delivered to her owner earlier this year, Avontuur is the first Crossover 27 to be built by Lynx Yachts, incorporating numerous custom elements into her layout to meet the requirements of her outdoorsy American owner. Befitting her name ‘Avontuur’ (the Dutch word for adventure), the concept behind the vessel was to maximise tender and toy storage, whilst still keeping the look and feel of a superyacht.

Franck Darnet explains the concept behind the interior design: “We were aiming to create something which is pleasant to live on, not just to look at. This is a very important through-line in all of our designs, as I am also a sailor so have spent a lot of time on a boat over the years! Not only this, but we wanted to create something which uses the best quality materials, but is still easy to maintain and durable.”

Lynx Yachts’ Crossover 27 model brings together the best of two worlds: offering the robustness, versatility and generous storage space of a support vessel alongside the comfort and elegance of a superyacht. This makes her ideal for the next generation of adventurous owners who want to make the most of their time at sea through watersports or exploration. The vessel’s concept design and engineering were completed in-house and she features exterior design by Dutch studio Bernd

Avontuur’s interiors feature heavy use of oak wood and white stone, as well as ‘raw concrete’ colours in the bathroom for a clean, modern and timeless effect. As her designer highlights: “The last thing I wanted was to create some kind of ‘fashion’ interior where you have to throw everything away after only a few years because it’s no longer on trend. With the interior of Avontuur, I feel that it will stand the test of time and still look contemporary in 10-15 years’ time.”

He continues: “What I am most proud of on this project is the perspective you get when you look from the aft of the boat, all the way to the forward part of the boat. You can see all of the aft part from the galley in one clear view – which is quite rare to find on a yacht. This also means that there is a huge amount of light coming into the interior of the boat, which creates a wonderful atmosphere on board.”

The vessel’s initial layout from the yard included four staterooms, comprising an owner’s cabin, a VIP cabin, and two twin cabins with the crew quarters located aft of the engine room. However, Avontuur’s owner opted for a different configuration, featuring just three guest cabins and also integrating the crew quarters into her guest space.

Features of note on board Avontuur include her large light-filled main deck saloon, as well as her 70-square-metre multi-purpose main deck, which can easily be transformed into a generous entertainment area when clear of her toys – an Air Nautique G23 and a five-metre RIB.

As well as being equipped with a crane, the sundeck is also home to two Yamaha Waverunners and two stand-up jetskis. The lazarette/toy storage provides ample space to fulfil all of the owner’s watersports needs, with room for stand-up paddleboards, surfboards, canoes, scuba diving equipment and more. As her owner explains: “This boat is fantastic because it is so freeing – after a lifetime of struggling with storage for my gear, this boat allows me to keep everything on it all the time and do whatever I want, whenever I want.”

Performance-wise, Avontuur has a maximum speed of 14 knots, a cruising speed of 12.5 knots, and benefits from an impressive eco range of 3,000 nautical miles. The vessel’s power is provided by twin Caterpillar C12.9 – 2 x 850hpat 2300 rpm engines.

The Crossover 27 will make her debut at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival before heading to the USA with her owner at the end of the season.

LAZZARA YACHTS INTRODUCES NEW 67-FOOT MODEL TO THE LSX SERIES

Lazzara Yachts is delighted to unveil the latest addition to its highly successful LSX series, the Lazzara Limited Edition LSX 67.

The Lazzara Limited Edition LSX 67 has been designed by the American brand as the ultimate ‘sport express yacht’.

The 67-foot (20.42m) LSX 67 leads the way with eye catching style, exceptional quality, and exhilarating performance. With a striking exterior profile and innovative arrangement, this yacht will not go unnoticed.

In a revolutionary design move, the fullbeam master suite has direct access to an aft deck entertainment area and beach club. The Lazzara Limited Edition LSX 67 is the only yacht in her class to offer such an arrangement, and the exceptionally large master suite affords the owner uninterrupted views port, starboard, and aft from the cabin via the full beam sliding glass door.

The beach club space is extended further by fold-down balconies on the port and starboard sides, the largest in this class of yacht, creating an expansive aft deck and terraces at the water’s edge. A social seating arrangement makes this area a fantastic spot for entertaining and the platforms facilitate easy access to and from the water. Steps on either side lead up to the main deck.

Access to the bow and an enormous sun pad is via teak walkways along the port or starboard side. Polished stainless steel and teak railings are just one example of the exterior design details that set the Lazzara Limited Edition LSX 67 apart. Combine this with superyacht interior finishes and materials, and she becomes a floating piece of art.

On the main deck, the Lazzara Limited Edition LSX 67 has exterior seating that spans the full 16-foot beam, and there’s a large table and grill for relaxed alfresco dining. The generous salon lounge is accessed via glass sliding doors, and the helm is forward of this. The entire space is protected from the elements by a sweeping hard top. A retractable sunroof panel opens this space when desired, revealing sunny or starry skies, and an influx of ocean breeze.

Stairs adjacent to the helm lead to the lower deck where there is an additional seating area, a full galley setup, and a beautifully appointed VIP positioned in the bow. Moving aft, there’s a twin cabin with ensuite, and a cabin to port that can accommodate an additional guest or serve as a captain/crew cabin.

The Lazzara Limited Edition LSX 67 is the perfect blend of power and beauty. The yacht boasts a contemporary style, state of the art engineering, and serious horsepower.

Powered by optional Twin Volvo IPS 1350 engines, the LSX 67 has an estimated 33knot top speed and a cruising speed of 28 knots. With a draft of just five feet (1.54m) the Lazzara Limited Edition LSX 67 is ideal for coastal cruising and island hopping in shallower waters.

The Lazzara Limited Edition LSX 67 is scheduled to make her international debut at the next Miami Boat Show, February 15th - 19th 2023.

HOTEL BYBLOS

THE LEGENDARY PALACE OF THE FRENCH RIVIERA

Steeped in history, the «Palace» hotel of Saint-Tropez and its mythical nightclub have never shone so brightly as today. Bearing testimony to an exceptional way of life that is continuously reassessed and renewed, these two symbolic landmarks of the French Riviera are always one step ahead of their time, creating today the legends of tomorrow. Impossible to replicate or to duplicate, Hotel Byblos welcomes guests to 17,000sqm of luxury living space, resolutely modern with the very latest technologies, but retaining at all times its unique charm and character. This is the work of a French family, the Chevanne, owners of Byblos which is now part of luxury hotel group «Groupe Floirat». Their passion has been handed down through four generations, with always the same level of sincerity, the same high standards and an incredible sense of loyalty; values shared by the staff, some of whom have been at the hotel for thirty to forty years now.

Far-removed from the flashy, ostentatious luxury of the grand hotels of the Riviera, Hotel Byblos offers each and every guest the feeling of being at home, under the ever watchful eye of its attentive staff, who demonstrate their exceptional professional know-how while creating an atmosphere of pure contentment.

With an unrivalled sense of hospitality and an unequalled attention to detail, Hotel Byblos highlights the very best in terms of French «art de vivre».

HISTORY

On the tree-lined avenue Paul Signac, just a stone’s throw away from the Place des Lices and beneath the citadel of SaintTropez, the hotel was already the talk of the region as soon as building began in 1966, in this small fisherman’s village that had already attracted so many writers, painters, designers and artists. In 1956, Roger Vadim’s film «And God created Woman» introduced Brigitte Bardot to the world and made Saint-Tropez the living symbol of libertarianism.

In the middle of the turbulent 1960s, the Lebanese billionaire Jean Prosper Gay-Para decided on a whim to build a luxury hotel, a village within a village, and also a nightclub with an antique-style interior design. An idyllic holiday destination, full of glamour, just like Brigitte Bardot with whom, it was said, he had fallen hopelessly in love…

Inaugurated on 27 May 1967 in a blaze of glorious celebrations, Hotel Byblos and Les Caves du Roy have contributed from their very earliest days to the international renown of Saint-Tropez, without ever losing sight of their primary vocation: to provide comfort and pleasure. An impressive guest list comprising international royalty, movie stars, singers, rock idols, and writers attended the launch.

Since then, whole generations have rubbed shoulders, enjoyed informal get-togethers and even forged lasting friendships.

The owner of two hotels in Beirut, including the Excelsior and its nightclub Les Caves du Roy, Jean Prosper Gay-Para wanted to create «a bridge between the French Riviera and the Middle East». He named his creation «Byblos» after one of the most ancient Lebanese towns, which Greek mythology tells us was where Adonis and Aphrodite became lovers. A palace worthy of the Arabian Nights, with a mosaic at the entrance depicting Zeus, who had been transformed into a bull in order to abduct Europa, a Phoenician princess from Greek mythology. Nothing was considered too beautiful for this newly-built jewel of a hotel, in which all the different styles of the Mediterranean from all different ages are brought together in a timeless harmony. The architects Christian Auvrignon, Philippe Monnin and Philippe Siccardon envisaged the hotel as a small Provence-style village, with narrow houses of different shapes and sizes and dotted with balconies here and there. Boutiques, a bar, patios, fountains, restful lounges: life revolves around a paved square in the shade of a century-old olive tree, imported from Lebanon. The interior designers André Denis and Serge Sassouni embellished the interior with glazed «azulejo» tiles from Andalusia, colourful madras cotton drapes with golden thread, artistic furniture and collector’s items. From the wrought iron staircases, the visitor’s gaze falls upon the polychrome mosaics of Roger Capron, Alain Vagh and Jean Derval, the leading lights of the Vallauris ceramic movement.

From the moment of its grand opening ceremony (under the patronage of the French actress Mireille Darc, whom the Lebanese billionaire had met at the Excelsior in Beirut when she was filming scenes for George Lautner’s «La Grande Sauterelle»), Byblos has become symbolic with the image of sun-drenched holidays hidden away from prying eyes. The opening night on 27 May 1967 will forever be engraved in the memory of those who were lucky enough to be there; the 700 invited guests discovering a hotel that shook up the established codes associated with luxury hospitality. However, the outbreak of the Six Day War in June 1967 impelled Gay-Para to return to Lebanon and to give up his creative dream. This heralded the beginning of a new era in the history of Le Byblos and Les Caves du Roy… the story of Sylvain Floirat and his descendants, the Chevanne family.

On 19 September 1967, Sylvain Floirat (1899-1993), a former boilermaker who ultimately found himself at the helm of a self-made business empire (Aigle Azur, Breguet Aviation, Matra, Europe 1 and the French broadcasting corporation, CFT) purchased Hotel Byblos and Les Caves du Roy. Early regular guests included the likes of Elizabeth Taylor & Richard Burton, Duke Ellington, Romy Schneider and French stars such as Louis de Funès, Bourvil, Michel Polnareff, Gilbert Bécaud…

Later, in 1971, Mick Jagger chose SaintTropez as the destination for his wedding to Bianca Perez. A memorable party in Les Caves du Roy with the Beatles among the guests of honour, was followed by a honeymoon in Byblos’ largest suite – now known as the Missoni Suite.

Hotel Byblos then came into the hands of Sylvain Chevanne who, respectful of his grandfather Sylvain Floirat’s wishes, also took control of the Aigle Azur aviation company. But little by little, he found

himself devoting all of his time to his «Tropezian paradise» alongside his wife Mireille, an ardent interior designer.

Having been initiated since childhood in the pleasure of welcoming guests and offering them the best possible time, their only son Antoine Chevanne became totally enamoured with the world of luxury hospitality; and is now in the process of writing the future chapters of the legend that is Byblos Saint-Tropez. Following his studies (at Paris-Dauphine and Cornell University) and a period of globe-trotting, he became General Manager at Le Byblos (from 2001 to 2006) before becoming Chief Executive Officer of Groupe Floirat, paying homage to his great grandfather in the process.

The family story has added several new pages with the acquisition of two exceptional four-star hotels, La Réserve de Saint-Jean-de-Luz and Les Manoirs de Tourgéville in Normandy, where guests can be sure to find the same attention to detail, the same convivial atmosphere, the same quest for excellence and the same family spirit as in Saint-Tropez. The renowned French touch that is so sought-after in the world of luxury hospitality.

ROOMS AND SUITES

Starting out with sixty bedrooms when the hotel first opened, Byblos has always drawn inspiration from the prevailing times in order to improve its offering to its guests. The purchase of a neighbouring plot of land in 1983 provided the space to build an additional wing, La Bastide, and a further separate outbuilding, Le Hameau, now covering a total of 17,000 sqm. To make them even more spacious and to bring in more light, certain bedrooms and suites were later joined together.

Having acquired four shining stars from the outset, Hotel Byblos was awarded a fifth star following a major renovation program in 2009, before being granted the ultimate accolade in 2012: the French «Palace» status.

The 87 bedrooms, including 47 suites, each with their own individual design style, are all decked out with eight different designerstamped textiles, from drapes, bedspreads to furniture upholstery, all handmade in the nearby workshops of Marseille. Alongside antique furniture, guests will find made-tomeasure items with a more modern, but nevertheless harmonious feel; the whole ensemble creating a cocoon in which one is made to feel completely at home.

A few rooms feature private terraces with unparalleled views over Saint-Tropez and the sea.

BYBLOS CONFIDENTIAL

A new generation of guestroom was unveiled last season, displaying the same attention to detail and uniqueness. Offering a lot more space and privacy, Byblos launched Byblos Confidential in 2021 – a new concept for guests to enjoy their very own private address in St Tropez.

Byblos Confidential consists of existing interconnecting rooms and suites joined together to create three luxury apartments in addition to the Missoni Suite. A nod to the hotel’s heritage and design, ‘Jupiter’, ‘Europe’ and ‘Zeus’ provide comfort, glamour and privacy with the added value of a dedicated concierge and services, for a memorable and seamless experience.

THE MISSONI SUITE

To celebrate the hotel’s 50th anniversary in 2017, Byblos partnered with Missoni Home to redesign the presidential suite, now known as the Missoni Suite.

Spanning across 180m2 and overlooking the pool and the hotel’s courtyard, the Missoni Suite is comprised of two bedrooms, four bathrooms, a large living room leading onto the balcony, and a private terrasse.

SPA BY SISLEY

In 2007, the Sisley brand chose Hotel Byblos as the location to install its very first spa, Spa Byblos by Sisley Cosmetics.

A symbol of luxury in its own right, Sisley has attained mythical status in just forty years of existence. Through its will to deliver high-end, hi-tech cosmetics and meticulously prepared skincare programmes, Sisley has made the pursuit of beauty a genuine «art de vivre».

The spa features a hammam, three treatment rooms, as well as the famous Lebanese treatment room dating back to the 17th century where each stone was transported from a palace in Beirut; and the extraordinary Couple’s Suite, with stones from Jerusalem and moucharabieh lattice work panels.

GASTRONOMY

From Byblos in Saint-Tropez to La Réserve in Saint-Jean-de-Luz or Les Manoirs de Tourgeville in Normandy, the Chevanne family perpetuates its tradition for gastronomic and inventive cuisine, producing dishes that are in tune with the times and in phase with the seasons. A NEW CULINARY CHAPTER

In January 2021, Byblos appointed Nicola Canuti as Executive Chef. Reflecting both the hotel’s location and Chef Canuti’s Italian origins, the gastronomic concept is heavily influenced by the Mediterranean; with Canuti taking inspiration from the treasures of the French and Italian rivieras, and working with local producers from the Côte d’Azur region. Each menu features dishes that accentuate the ingredients’ original taste, celebrating natural flavours and aromas. He is accompanied by newly appointed pastry chef Geoffrey Turpin since February 2022.

ARCADIA

The hotel’s latest restaurant, located by the pool, is open for lunch and dinner. Using local and seasonal produce including tomatoes, white truffle and aubergine, Canuti creates an authentic gastronomic experience, inspired by the Mediterranean.

Once the sun sets, Arcadia offers a stylish, chic ambience overlooking the hotel’s main square with lights illuminating the pool and the famous facades.

CUCINA BY ALAIN DUCASSE

Chef draws on his native country’s best kept secrets for this Italian trattoria overseen by Alain Ducasse.

Located within a warm, contemporary setting amongst olive trees, guests can enjoy the very best of Italian cuisine within a cosy atmosphere.

Open for dinner only, from 8pm to 11.30pm, Wednesdays to Sundays; except in July / August open every evening from 8pm to midnight.

LE « B » LOUNGE

Named one of the most popular bars on the French Riviera, Le B offers a wide range of signature cocktails and has introduced tapas and light bites including the Pinza, a lighter and healthier alternative to the traditional pizza.

BYBLOS BEACH RAMATUELLE

Since 2019, Byblos has not only been present in the heart of Saint-Tropez, but also on the waterfront, having unveiled its exclusive beach club located on Pampelonne Beach (approx. 10 minutes’ drive). Designed by François Frossard, who also redesigned the hotel’s nightclub Les Caves du Roy, the style of Byblos Beach Ramatuelle is inspired by its surrounding area and the world of sailing. It features a restaurant, a bar/lounge area and a dedicated space on the beach for sun loungers.

Ensuring as little impact as possible on the environment, the beach has a strict «no plastic» policy.

The entire structure can be dismantled at will, being made of 100% wood, providing a throwback to the hulls of old sailing ships. Water and electricity consumption is eco-oriented, with small and discreet table lamps preventing any risk of light pollution once night falls.

Chef offers a Mediterranean-inspired culinary experience that is adapted to different moments of the day and the seasons. A light menu includes fish, ceviche, vegetables and fresh fruit.

Byblos Beach is open for lunch from midday to 5pm, Mondays to Sundays. The beach itself is open from 10.30am to 7.30pm in low season and from 10.30am to 8.30pm in July/ August.

VEGETABLE GARDEN

Spanning across 300sqm, Byblos features a vegetable garden, offering guests the best of local produce within a sustainable environment.

The garden includes fresh fruit, vegetables, aromatic flowers and herbs.

The honey served at breakfast every day also comes from the hotel’s very own beehives.

LES CAVES DU ROY

Reflecting the lively and joyful atmosphere that reigns at all times in Saint-Tropez, Les Caves du Roy - an exact replica of the eponymous nightclub at the Excelsior hotel in Beirut - has long been a venue of choice for those seeking the ultimate party atmosphere.

Five decades of memorable all-nighters have seen Les Caves become a legend alongside New York’s «Studio 54», Ibiza’s «Le Pacha» or «Le Palace» in Paris. Successive generations have flocked to Les Caves du Roy to find «that little something extra» that cannot be found anywhere else.
