WELCOME Dear Miami Athletics Fans, As we continue to find ways to overcome one of the most difficult years in our history, I wanted to reflect on the continued commitment Miamians have toward advancing our mission and Graduating Champions. Your support makes a tremendous impact on the lives of our 500+ student-athletes, perhaps this past year more than ever, and I sincerely thank you for that. Your investment in the Miami Athletic Fund provides critical financial support and the resources necessary to compete at the highest levels in collegiate athletics. It ensures each student-athlete will have the opportunity to graduate as a champion from Miami University and prepares them to be leaders in society in the next chapter in their lives. Each day I am inspired by the tenacity and grit I see from the studentathletes in the championship programs we continue to build at Miami. It is abundantly clear what makes Miami so special: You, our supporters! There is certainly a different feeling on campus now. Having students back helps, but we miss the passion and energy the Miami fan base provides. I have great optimism for what the future holds. MIAMI ATHLETIC FUND The Miami Athletic Fund is the fundraising unit of Miami Athletics. By investing in the Miami Athletic Fund, you are impacting the lives of student-athletes and providing the best experiences for them to graduate as champions in life with a degree in one hand and a championship ring on the other. The Miami Athletic Fund is designed to be simplistic and inclusive, something to bring all Miami Athletics donors together! This donor centric model is all-encompassing for our supporters, empowering you to choose how you want to make an impact. When you make a gift and invest in ANY area or fund within Miami Athletics, you receive loyalty points and are immediately eligible for impact and benefit levels. Your specific impact and benefit level will be determined by your overall philanthropic giving to Miami Athletics. WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
Miami Athletic Fund – Unrestricted One of the greatest gifts Miami Athletics can receive is an unrestricted one. The Miami Athletic Fund also establishes a vehicle for donors to provide unrestricted gifts to the athletic department. Unrestricted giving helps the department work smoothly and enables innovation for the future. We believe this type of support further empowers Miami Athletics to provide the best possible experience for our student-athletes.
Scholarship Support Put simply, championships begin with scholarships. Private scholarship support provides Miami’s leadership with the flexibility to enhance programs in other essential areas to maximize the overall Miami Experience for our more than 500 student-athletes. Red & White Fund – The Red & White Fund’s primary purpose is to provide annual scholarship funding to Miami University studentathletes. By contributing to the Red & White Fund, you support the participation of young men and women in intercollegiate athletics, Graduating Champions and maintaining Miami’s winning traditions, both on and off the field. A Night “in” for Red and White – Held annually in the spring, Miamians will once again come together virtually to share Love and Honor and to raise money in support of student-athlete scholarships. This is your opportunity to bid on unforgettable experiences, unique memorabilia and one-of-a-kind collectibles while celebrating Miami student-athletes. Endowments – Endowments are gifts from bequests or outright gifts to Miami University that are invested in perpetuity to produce amounts to be distributed according to the endowment spending
policy. The distribution of these earnings coincides either with the donor’s wishes or, if there is no restriction on spending the earnings, at the discretion of the university. Miami Athletics is seeking endowed support primarily in the area of scholarships, but opportunities are also available within specific varsity athletic programs. Gift Planning – Did you know that you can leave a legacy with Miami Athletics through a planned gift? There are many giving options to choose from, and Miami can work with you to create a charitable plan that meets the needs of your family while ensuring a long-term impact on the future of Miami Athletics.

Programmatic The Miami Athletic Fund seeks to advance the mission of Graduating Champions and Miami student-athletes through ALL areas of Miami Athletics. Directly supporting one of our 16 sport excellence funds is one of the ways you can directly impact the lives of student-athletes and provide the best experiences for them to graduate as champions. While scholarship support will always be a priority for the athletic department, sport-specific giving is an opportunity to directly impact projects identified by each head coach and administration.
Facilities Success at the highest level of intercollegiate competition requires yearround preparation and training and demands that coaches get the most out of every minute of allotted practice time. Miami’s long-term athletics facilities plan seeks to expand training capacities and resources; consolidate facilities in a way that maximizes student-athlete time; and create and improve facilities that provide opportunities for the broader campus and Oxford communities.
Miami Athletics Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Fund Miami Athletics believes in holistically supporting and developing student-athletes, staff and coaches to sustain an inclusive environment with our department, the community and the world. Among many things, this fund seeks to provide resources aimed at developing cultural fluency and awareness, building collaboration with the campus community and officials to assist with programming of diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives while utilizing the Miami Athletics platform to be leaders for the university.
