Miami Springs, adjacent to Miami International Airport, maintains its charm as a desirable “bedroom community” with parks, tennis courts, a golf course, an aquatic center and a new community center. Miami Springs Aquatic Center
This is the perfect place to relax, have fun and swim. It features a large area for swimming laps, a zeroentry kiddie pool and a 35-foot water slide. Open to residents and visitors, the pool is always overseen by lifeguards and is heated during the winter. The Center also offers swimming lessons, water aerobics and community events.
Explore a Vibrant Art Scene
The Art in City Hall program highlights a new artist every month in the lobby of City Hall. All featured artists live in Miami Springs and exhibit everything from paintings to photography and sculptures. Locals also look forward to the annual River Cities Festival every April. Attendees can enjoy live music, shop for arts and crafts, and dive into different cuisines.

Miami Springs Farmer’s Market
From October through March, the Miami Springs Farmer’s Market is held every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring fresh produce, local artisanal products and a lively atmosphere, including activities for children. It’s a great place to support local vendors, find unique items and experience the community spirit that’s the essence of Miami Springs.
Locally Owned Shops and Boutiques
Miami Springs offers a variety of shopping options, with locally owned boutiques near the Miami Springs Circle and around town attracting residents and visitors.
The Miami Springs Town Clock was placed at the end of Curtiss Parkway and the Circle in 2018 in honor of former Mayor John Cavalier Jr.
A LEGENDARY GOLF COURSE
Historic Miami Springs Golf & Country Club
In 1921, developers Glenn H. Curtiss and James Bright collaborated with a local group of Miami golfers known as the “Miami Coconuts” to establish a golf course in the newly formed city of Miami Springs. The 18-hole design created by the firm of William Langford and Theodore Moreau opened in 1923 and was known as the MiamiHialeah Golf Course. It quickly gained a reputation among locals as the finest course they had ever played. From 1925 to 1955, the course hosted the Miami Open, which was nationally recognized as the opening tournament of the winter golf season. Tournament champions included legendary golfers such as Gene Sarazen, Tommy Armour, Sam Snead and Byron Nelson.
Play Miami Springs Golf & Country Club Today
The Miami Springs Golf & Country Club boasts an 18-hole, par-71 golf course with four sets of tees ranging from 5,300 to 6,700 yards. It provides an enjoyable yet challenging experience for golfers of all skill levels. Pueblo Revival-style architecture rings the course along Hunting Lodge Drive and Deer Run.
The course offers very reasonable rates and is centrally located, with easy access from Miami Springs hotels and Miami International Airport.
Major League Baseball stars Billy Martin, Yogi Berra, Whitey Ford, Mickey Mantle and Darrell Johnson at the Baseball Players’ Golf Tournament held at the Miami Springs Country Club in February of 1958.

Explore the Charming Curtiss Mansion
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this 1925 Pueblo Revival-style estate was the home of famed aviator and inventor Glenn H. Curtiss, who founded Miami Springs. It has been restored to its original splendor and has been recognized by The Smithsonian.
A HISTORIC GEM BUILT ON AVIATION HERITAGE
The City of Miami Springs was established as Country Club Estates in 1926 by aviation pioneer, inventor and land developer Glenn H. Curtiss. Nestled in a triangular 2.9-square-mile area, the city was developed with unique Pueblo Revival-style architecture. It quickly attracted residents with its charm and convenient location and was especially popular among those working for airlines and in related fields.
Celebrating a Century: Miami Springs Turns 100
The Miami Springs Centennial Committee is planning exciting events to celebrate the city’s 100th anniversary in 2026. Fittingly, the theme will be aviation and the legacy of Glenn H. Curtiss. There will be activities such as a centennial parade, historical exhibitions and community service projects to commemorate the city’s legacy while looking forward to the next century.
