MEET YOUR 2021 MIAMI DOLPHINS CHEERLEADERS
EMILY Rookie
Hollywood, FL University of Florida Commercial Real Estate Associate
Favorite MDC Memory? My favorite MDC memory would have to be the night we all got told we made the team. At that moment we all knew our hard work over the past 3 months was worth it. I really felt united as a team that night. Why do you cheer/dance? I dance because it is my passion and escape from reality. I love getting lost in a dance and remembering why it’s one of my favorite things in the world. From dance competitions in middle school, to dancing on the sidelines of college game days, to now being a professional NFL cheerleader. My dreams have come true. What charity are you most passionate about and why? The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Great Strides walks, but more specifically, Running withDanny, Inc. This team is dedicated to a very special boy who touched everyone’s life he walked into. His family continues to fundraise for Cystic Fibrosis research even though Danny is no longer with us. This family meant so much to me years ago and there hasn’t been one day that I haven’t thought about their beautiful boy.

Favorite MDC Memory? It was around 7 o’clock at night, the moon was low and the crowd was cheering... Strutting out on the field with all eyes on us with the stadium lights focused on our every move... Beyoncé on the loudspeakers… It was just us, Beyoncé and the field. Why do you cheer/dance? I cheer/dance because it’s the only thing I’ve been doing since I was 3 years old besides karate(hence the Japanese ), and it feeds my soul. I love being able to make people feel something when I dance and dancing just electrifies every cell in my body , dance has always been there for me no matter what. It was love at first plié. What advice would you give someone auditioning to become a Miami Dolphins Cheerleader? Be a smart dancer, STRETCH, and honestly be your true authentic self!
