MEET YOUR 2021 MIAMI DOLPHINS CHEERLEADERS
ALEXIS Rookie
Kaysville, UT Weber State University Nanny and Student
Interesting Fact? I love home improvement projects and building furniture. On my days off I often find a DIY project to fill my time. I’m basically a DIY Bob the builder. Why do you cheer/dance? I love having the capability of putting a smile on a strangers face. The opportunity to take the field and make someones game day a little bit more special is what drives me to perform bigger and better every time. I love entertaining the crowd, it fuels my energy. What charity are you most passionate about and why? Child Mind Institute, It’s the perfect mix of two things that are very important to me, mental health and children. The organization focuses on finding the best treatment, providing children with access to that treatment and offering information on the importance and awareness of mental illness.
NYLA Rookie
Kissimmee, , FL New World School of Arts / University of Florida Student, Miami Dolphins Cheerleader
Favorite MDC Memory? When they announced that we made it on the team and had a dance party and ate cupcakes. Why do you cheer/dance? I dance because it’s like my second language and I love it. I couldn’t imagine doing anything else with my life on a daily basis (I’ve tried, it hasn’t worked) What advice would you give someone auditioning to become a Miami Dolphins Cheerleader? To be successful in your audition or even in life, you have to do things that you might not necessarily want to do, like working out, practicing a dance multiple times, or running around the stadium. The key is doing what you hate to do but doing it like you love it. If everyone did things that they do not like, like it was their favorite thing in the world, there’s no way you can fail because 100% effort, commitment, and dedication was put in.
