A brief History of Urban (RE)generation: what can we learn from XXII Marzo area? ‘60-’90
If you walk through this entrance the facades at via Calvi and via Fiamma will never look the same to you.
Time-machine: Italy? England? ‘70? ‘80? Periphery? City centre? Hard to say.
Complexities and contradictions: a traditional milanese typology is re-adopted via the english brutalistic examples
Here you’ll find the schizophrenic complexities and challenging potentials of the modern city.
You will find pots with flowers in left-over corners, washing racks, benches and chairs, but also little statues of the Holy Virgin placed in the niches for the gas-meter next to the front door: the sacred meets the profane.
