MOBILE TOUR BRIEF

This tours goal is to bring more awareness to the social cause of texting and driving. This is a big topic in our country because young drivers have developed this habit and it has turned fatal in many cases. So with the pressure of parents the law and simply doing the right thing efforts need to be made by big brands to offer an alternative while still making it desirable. SCION is the perfect brand for the task because their primary audience is the young drivers mentioned above. They share the same philosophy and styling, not to mention the right price point. But how can they help this issue? With the option of their new BESPOKE audio system users will have the ease of navigating the interface hands free along with their cell phones- keeping their attention and eyes on the road.

To keep things exciting and relevant sub sponsers with similar demographics will join the ride and the fight against texting while driving. Skullcandy will supply music for the event as well as affordable headphones for takeaways. HPI racing will satisfy the need to race with their line-up of scion RC cars. Ray Ban will supply the fresh shades that they have been known for, and INCASE will provide an array of bags and phone cases to match any flavor of personality.

This tour will travel to several colleges on the west coast because this is the target market for these brands and California has one of the largest car communities. It will start late spring to avoid any bad weather conditions to ensure a good time. The major portion (giveaways) of the event will happen during lunch time at 11:30 - 1:00 and start up again after 4:00, in between class blocks. 7


FOOD TRUCKS

Some of the finest food trucks from LA take the tour with scion to fight the cause as well as hunger.

HPI RACING

HPI racing will bring their new scion RC cars that are great fun to drift around thier track or even at home in the drive way.

RAY BAN

RAY BAN is bringing their classic sunglasses to the show.

SCION

SCION is bringing their entire line-up featuring the new FR-S and the BESPOKE hands free interface.

SKULLCANDY

Bringing the beat to the party with an amplithearter as well as stations to try your hand at DJing- using their new headphones of course.

INCASE

INCASE is great at keeping everyone unique with their giant amount of bags and cases.

During my lunch break at cal state LB I got this text from my buddy telling me to get down to the quad. He heard some good music coming from that direction and wanted to go check it out. 10

As I made my way down to the event I noticed a crowd of people having a great time so I had to find out what was going on.

The entryway was so cool; SCION had their full line of cars displayed, even the new FR-S.

They greeted me with their cause to prevent texting while driving and then showed me how much fun it was to navigate their hands free BeSpoke audio system. 13

After I made my way through the cars I felt like driving, especially after seeing the sporty fr-s; so I was excited when i saw that HPI had Scion RC cars that you can race with your friends.

After proving my skills to my friends we worked up some hunger so we decided to check out which food trucks came to the show (we love finding these around the city because they always have such great food).

We noticed all of the music was coming from the SKULL CANDY booth on the other side of the event so we went over because I needed some new headphones plus there were some lines forming and we were curious. It was pretty sick, you got to try on some new phones while creating your own beats on these interactive tables. 16

We then made our way over to see what RAY BAN had to offer because I needed some new sunglasses and I was sick of my cheap knock-offs, they also reminded us of the importance of protecting my eyes from the sun while driving and to pay attention to the road and not my phone. Right next door was INCASE, they had a ton of bags and cases, which was perfect for me because I was on the market for something to cover my new phone.

All of a sudden this semi triumpant announcment that Ken Gushi, the scion drift racer, was coming out for a signing and to raffle off a chance to win a new Scion. everyone rushed to the scion exhibit as he spoke about the cause and showed us video of his races and then welcomed people over for a signed poster and a raffle ticket. As everyone was leaving the event they were handing out coupons for college students looking to get a new scion which really made me want to trade in my clunker but also reminded me of the importance of driving safe. 18
