IU Bloomington continued a string of record spring enrollments with 40,479 students, up slightly from a year ago. It also set a new record for credit hours. "These figures show that Indiana University has a strong appeal to students from across the state and around the nation and world," said IU President Michael A. McRobbie. "It is especially gratifying to see strong growth of the East and Kokomo campuses as they find innovative ways to serve their regions. The data are essential to our efforts to ensure that students remain on track to earning their degrees in a timely manner." In the fall of 2011, enrollment at the seven IU campuses was 101,980. University enrollments typically decline from fall to spring. Spring enrollment highlights by campus include: IU Bloomington Set record for enrollment at 40,479, an increase of 0.1 percent from a year ago. Set record for credit hours at 530,590, up 0.2 percent. Undergraduate degree-seeking students increased by 0.3 percent. Students in professional schools increased by 5 percent, topping 1,000 for the first time in the spring. International student enrollment increased by 12.5 percent.

IUPUI Enrollment decreased by 1.1 percent to 28,877.

Credit hours dipped by 0.9 percent 330,766.3. Undergraduate enrollment decreased by 1.2 percent. Graduate and professional enrollment declined by 0.8 percent.

IU East Set record for enrollment at 3,348, a 12.5 percent increase. Set record for credit hours at 33,298.5, a 12.4 percent increase. Undergraduate enrollment increased by 11.8 percent. Graduate enrollment increased by 34.4 percent.

IU Kokomo Set record for credit hours enrolled at 30,379, an 8.4 percent increase. Enrollment increased by 9.6 percent to 3,152. Undergraduate enrollment increased by 9.5 percent. Graduate enrollment grew by 13.0 percent.

IU Northwest Enrollment decreased by 1.5 percent to 5,570. Credit hours decreased by 1.9 percent to 56,778. Undergraduate enrollment decreased by 0.7 percent. Graduate enrollment fell by 7 percent.

IU South Bend Enrollment decreased by 5.2 percent to 7,447. Credit hours decreased by 4.8 percent to 72,029. Undergraduate enrollment fell by 4.4 percent. Graduate enrollment fell by 13.5 percent.

IU Southeast Enrollment decreased by 3.7 percent to 6,547. Hours fell by 3.7 percent to 65,163.5. Undergraduate enrollment fell by 4.4 percent. Graduate enrollment increased by 1.6 percent.
