Recently, Knudson's creative expression of her IU pride outside of work led to a first-prize win in the "Rep Your College" competition on the fashion website polyvore.com. Knudson's winning design was selected from 665 other entries from individuals representing colleges and universities all over the world, including Yale, Michigan State, Oxford, University of Virginia and even the Parsons School of Design. As part of her entry, Knudson wrote: "My entry is on behalf of Indiana University, whose stylish alumni include Scott Schuman (fashion blogger The Sartorialist), Jessica Quirk ("What I Wore" author-blogger), Jace Lipstein (a.k.a. "The Grungy Gentleman"), Amy Levin (founder of collegefashionista.com) and so many
