"We are thinking strategically and intentionally about how we can provide relevant world-class IU degrees, and how our students can earn them in a timely manner in order to have successful careers and a meaningful life. This recognition encourages us to continue to be innovative." The Student Success Tuition Discount rewards students who commit to taking 30 credit hours per year with discounted tuition. The savings begins with 20 percent sophomore year, 30 percent junior year, and 40 percent senior year, for a total discount equivalent to one year's full tuition. The American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) nominated the program to be included in the Department of Education's list. Harris said the program fits in with IU President Michael A. McRobbie's vision for regional campuses. He thanked faculty and staff for their commitment to student success and academic excellence. "We will continue intentionally developing innovative programs that will ensure our students earn their degrees in four years, and graduate prepared to be north central Indiana's future leaders." Indiana University Kokomo serves north central Indiana.
