FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 1) How many images can I expect? - This is dependent upon the number of shooters present during your wedding. On average, you will typically receive approximately 700 - 800 images. ALL images will be fully edited. If an album is purchased or a part of your wedding package, the select 125 -150 images will go through another round of edits to ensure a they are album ready.
2) If I want additional editing OR retouching to any image, can you do that for me? - Yes, there is a $25 per image charge for requested or additional editing.
3) Do I own the copyrights and/or rights to the ALL of the images? - No. This is a common misconception when booking your photographer. Under the U.S. Copyright (title 17, U.S. Code), all work produced and performed by the photographer and its affiliates is the sole property of the Photographer.
4) Does that mean I won’t get any images? - No; what it means is that when you book with me or another Photographer, the contract should state some sort of licensing and usage agreement. By signing and contracting me as your photographer, you will be given Rights to the images and get to use and print them as stated in your contract.
5) Some of the venues we have visited require our vendors to have business insurance, do you have insurance? - I sure do! I never leave home without it. Honestly, every professional (no matter their particular area of expertise) should carry some form of business insurance. It’s just good practice.. It makes sense for the professionals you are hiring to back their own company. Think of it as driving a fancy car; you’d definitely want to insure that baby!
6) Okay, I love your style and I want you to be my photographer. How do I book you? - If you have not done so already, please contact me via email, phone, Facebook, text, or whatever medium that suits your fancy. From there, we’ll schedule a time to sit down and discuss all of your wedding day and/or portrait session needs. I require a non-refundable retainer fee equal to 34% of the total contracted services to secure your date.
7) Now that you’re my photographer, what’s next? - I will provide you with supplemental forms to help me and my assistants better serve you. I will also keep in contact with you periodically up until and after your wedding day to make sure you are getting or have gotten what you need. w w w . mic haelpangilinan. c om • mic hael@ mic haelpangilinan. c om • 2 1 5 - 2 3 7 - 4 9 1 0
RECOMMENDATIONS • Be yourself and be comfortable - There’s always a sense of vulnerability when having your photo taken. The best way to overcome this is to act like we’re not even there.
• Get to know your photographer - Having a good relationship with your photographer is key to getting great frames; your photographer should make an effort to get to know you.
• Have fun! - You are among friends; why not act like it? Your photographer will help set up the shot, but we can’t create the chemistry that already exists between you and your bridal party.
• Time is of the essence. - While there is only a finite amount of time on your wedding day, make sure to allot the proper amount of time for bridal party photos or any photos you want taken.
• Enter slow, leave slow.... - Being the center of attention on your wedding day may make you feel uncomfortable and speed up. Take your time, make each moment count. Fast = blurry, slow = crisp
• The “First Kiss”... - Be true to who you are and ignore everyone else. This is one of the greatest images a photographer can capture. While it may feel like an eternity, holding the kiss for approximately 3-5 seconds really helps us out.
• The Receiving Line - If you have one immediately following the ceremony, please make sure at least one photographer knows when and where to be.
• Venue & Reception: Details, Details, Details! - While this isn’t our area of expertise, the more details you include for your wedding day, the better the shots will be.
• Your send-off: Make sure we know! - Make sure we know when and where this will be taking place.
• Go out with a bang! - We can’t provide the fireworks, but you can. If those aren’t an option, try adding sparklers, bubbles, pop-rockets, confetti, or something to make a great exit! w w w . mic haelpangilinan. c om • mic hael@ mic haelpangilinan. c om • 2 1 5 - 2 3 7 - 4 9 1 0
