restoration as an opportunity for local development Verona, Italy

The renovation project of the Nogarole Rocca’s castle was part of my last year thesis. After a long and complex social, economic, historical and architectural investigation I obtained a project which not only reveal the beauty and the importance of this historical building, but also give it back to the community. The castle become for the second time in history the most important building of the area, by creating space for services (as a library, a museum, a kindergarten, town hall offices....) and apartments.

transformation of a mansion into a lawyers’ office Torino, Italy

Re Id

The project aims to transform an elegant building from the beginning of the 20th century into an efficient contemporary office building, performing radical and pragmatic interventions and optimizing the use of space. At the same time, it tries to respect the existing rooms and preserve their charm, without being intimidated by their stiff classicism. The project looks for discretion and neutrality while inserting all the many necessary new elements, like the new staircase in perforated metal, that connects seven different levels illuminating them with a big skylight or like the new library, suspended in the heart of the building.

The project involves the study and the realization of a cabinet that could also act as a divider between two different spaces. In this way we created an hybrid between the door of a closet and a normal door that, through its various movements, redistributes the space around him.

For the opening of the FARM CULTURAL PARK art center, we were asked to create a vegetable garden near the main kitchen. In this occasion we designed a suspended garden, which not only serve as a pantry with fresh products, but creates also new synergies between the actors who lives this space. The few centimeters between the walls and the garden forces people to the contact and the dialogue: a full contact, as the name of the work.

Co

The competition requires the design of the new city hall of the city of Bodø. The team I belonged to was responsible for the design of the internal distribution and the final presentation. 12 apartments Building

Torino, Italy

Nb Id

The 12 apartments building located in Via Messina (Turin) was the longest and most complex project that i followed as a collaborator of an architectural firm. In this case, in addition to the design of the building in all its parts and the control at the construction site of the process, I had to follow the interior design of the 12 apartments too, helping every customer about the materials, distribution, lighting and furnitures choosing.

Blue Monday

Torino, Italy

Id

Blue Monday was the first project followed entirely by myself. The flat suffer an obsolete state, dark and with a considerable waste of space. By demolishing some parts of the original structure, I created a new entrance directly connected to the living room and the kitchen, allowing an open space which is a lot brighter and cosier. The bathroom acquired additional space as well. The new arrangement is also highlighted by the floor and petrol blue walls, whose colour makes its way through the oak parquet.

Ar

The basic concept of this project was about inserting architecture in a really strong natural environment, in the most respectful way as possible. I decided to take as reference the surrounding natural system, in particular from the waves of the river, the branches of the trees and the birds from the sky. In this way we obtained a light architecture, well mixed with the environment, with at the same time a strong personality, made to attract and astound tourists and citizens.
