Description A session focusing on business development through the benefits of creating formal alliances and networks in order to generate: (a) referrals; (b) greater credibility; and (c) more opportunities to get noticed. A panel of senior lawyers from a range of different law firms/jurisdictions and also those who are employed to administer such alliances will explain and debate: • What are the benefits of being part of an alliance/network? • What is an alliance/network, how do they work and who are the stakeholders? • What are the methods for using an alliance/network to get noticed and taken seriously? • What works for smaller to mid-tier firms competing against the top tier firms? • Whether there is a trade off in losing any independence and exploring the case for staying out of an alliance/network?
