F&B Design The first four projects were designed for the food & beverage sector: School serveries; hospital cafes; boarding-house dining halls

Residential Design These designs were created for Jo Berryman, based on her design ideas

Own Projects – Residential + Hospitality These projects were the final ones I produced for my course. Included so as to show hand-drawing and rendering skills, and more of own style.

01

6th Form Servery & Dining Hall This project was for a sixth-form servery & dining room. It needed to be fresh and bold, with an up-to-date design, and also incorporate some eco-friendly elements such as the hydroponics (shown here)

Zoned Seating Areas A mix of larger open spaces, and cosy corners create opportunities for the students to work collaboratively in larger groups, or dine together in smaller numbers.

HOSPITAL CAFE

02

Hospital Coffee Shop The design was created for a hospital cafÊ – currently being constructed. Careful consideration of colour used, reflected the desire for it to be a calming space, yet also suitable for patients, visitors and staff alike.

Multiple nooks and zones for patients, visitors and staff

This is an area that had quite a private feel and so could be used for less formal meetings, presentations to staff (using monitors on walls), or as a secluded area for visiting families.

This comfy area could be used as a waiting area, coupled with a place to grab a drink or snack. Green fabric finishes and a living wall helped promote relaxation and calm.

The entrance way has a simple wood floor, directing you to the cafĂŠ servery. Wall finishes in either dark or light colour when change of direction needs to be considered to support people with visual impairments. No overly-fussy finishes / patterns added to ensure space remains easy to understand for people with dementia.

DINING HALL - SCHOOL

03

Surf’s Up!

This project was for a school located near a beach where surfing is a popular activity for many of its students. A feel of the seaside and a nod to the tradition of surfing was requested by the clients, and a subtle interpretation of a surf shack was included in the form of a dedicated sixthform nook

Hospital Coffee Shop Graphics were representative of the sea, and colour also reflected the desired sea-side feel. A burst of coral was also added to warm up the overall feel, and provide interest.

04 BOARDING HOUSE KITCHEN

Moodboards The brief was to design a kitchendiner for two boarding houses. Two options were provided: Both based on the ‘Traditionally British Kitchen’ theme. The basic components to be the same, with subtle and personal differences in the detailing, finishes, colour and items.

Two Options & Schemes

BOARDING HOUSE KITCHEN & DINNG AREA

Main Servery with Salad Bar

RESIDENTIAL - CHILDREN’S BEDROOMS - KITCHEN & GARDEN ROOM The following two projects are visuals I put together for Jo Berryman. Working with her ideas, and through discussion, the concepts were developed; items sourced; visuals for clients created

Kitchen Area & Reading Nook

07 RESIDENTIAL – Warehouse Apartment The next two projects are work from my Interior Design Diploma. These are good examples of my personal style – a combination of CAD and hand drawn & rendered elements

Warehouse Apartment – Floorplan

Preliminary Sketches

Isometric Drawing

Drawn in CAD; rendered in Photoshop There were spectacular views out through the window, overlooking a river. The brief required the most to be made of this prime location, and so raised areas – and items of furniture – were incorporated to zone different spaces, and elevate the viewer enough to receive the perfect vantage point. AN entertaining and social area was created towards the front aspect, and a more cosy, private space towards the rear. The kitchen is at the heart of the home, making for a great place to circulate round with guests

Front and rear elevations

Bedroom & Bathroom Visuals – Perspective Drawings

The rooms both contain elements of the elevation & suspension concept, that was developed from the initial brief. Both visuals were hand-drawn, with hand- and CAD- rendering

08 HOSPITLITY – Boutique Hotel

Bespoke Hotel – Urban Location

Concepts for zoned areas of the hotel

The design was for a luxury metropolitan boutique hotel, offering a unique experience, its own personality, and a cohesive scheme. A nod to the urban location was incorporated, high-end finishes & sumptuous fabrics, and a touch of magic‌

Lighting Plan

FF&E Board

Much of the furniture was bespoke designed to compliment the brief The wallpaper and fabric graphics (shown on board) was also designed specifically for the project

Graphics & Bar Elevation

Branded Graphics - Wallpaper

Bar Elevation A new brand identity was created as a result of the client’s brief. The bar front’s design was based around the side of an abandoned metro train; the floor surrounding it marked with the lines typically seen next to a metro stop.

Reception Area

Perspective Drawing

To make the arrivals procedure more welcoming, individual, bespoke reception desks were designed. A home-like lounge area was also added, and a new brand identity created and interwoven in all aspects of the design

Bar & Lounge Seating Area The graphics were created from the new branding, designed to suit the clients brief. Sumptuous fabrics were used in the upholstered furniture, and a nod to the urban location of the hotel was incorporated.
